An old and very skilled doctor at Ji'an Clinic, regarded as having the best medical skills there. He initially told Chen Liejiu that Xu Huaiqian's condition was incurable, but under pressure agreed to treat him. He warned that even if cured, Xu Huaiqian would only live ten more years and must avoid wind and temperature changes. He was somewhat stingy and grumbled internally about the waste of the hundred-year-old ginseng when Chen Liejiu broke it roughly. He used silver needles for acupuncture treatment.
