A well-known bully in the village and a ger (a gender that looks like men but can get pregnant). At age twenty, he is handsome with fair skin, a thin waist, long legs, and a high ponytail. He wears bright red robes. He traveled with an escort company from age ten and returned at seventeen to settle in the village. He makes a living collecting debts and is regarded as more arrogant than men. He is rich compared to other villagers but has a younger brother, younger sister, and younger sister-in-law to support. He quickly found Xu Huaiqian as a bought husband, partly due to ger estrus concerns after turning twenty. He hired Doctor Sun to examine Xu Huaiqian and paid seven or eight silver coins for the consultation and medicine. He is described as having a ferocious exterior but shows ambiguity about keeping Xu Huaiqian.
