Reading few the first batch of chapters was rather delightful.
Theo has a great sense of pacing and character, and it really comes out in how his MC interacts with the people around him.
There's a great sense of realism in how the MC thinks and responds, and overall I feel this story is a solid start that will blossom into something amazing.
That said, there are some noticeable errors in writing that can be easily fixed with an editing pass or two, and I feel like more can be done to distinguish the settings, especially where the games occur.
Solid 4.6 for now.

I'm up to over 150 chapters using MTL. It's a decent entertaining read. The basic background is that two worlds are slowly merging: human and source world. The source world has long had its power system corrupted so that all cultivators and animals inevitably mutated into grotesque "Dark Souls-like" monsters. So the human world created a new power system that tries to avoid the problem but is still risky. The MC is quite lucky throughout the plot because he constantly faces enemies beyond his level and comes out ahead. For example level 4 killing level 7 using a god artifact. Overall it reads like a typical MC-fighting-beyond-his-level webnovel with an interesting background.
This is perhaps one of the best written stories on this site where... surprise!!! ... the main character is not a violent apathetic murderer. He's killed only a couple humans at this point in time. The entire point of the magic system seems to be well-designed and at least somewhat thought out. I enjoy the fact that he's a space mage because I also can't necessarily think of op applications of his power which leaves less plotholes. I'll admit it's less dramatic than most things you'll find here but I find it's more realistic when it is dramatic, with a more subtle tone to it. I have to say I'm incredibly impressed by this story and writing even though I see toxic comments complaining on almost every chapter.
I especially enjoy these recent story lines where the main character is researching in a reasonable fashion.
I do however, have one complaint. The main character, before being reborn, finished an applied maths degree. One line in particular bugs me, when he's surprised that maths have applications. Like what the hell did he study if not that.
Outside of the fact that I have the perspective of a mathematician, I quite enjoyed this novel and the writing.
Really enjoying this so far. If I had one major problem is that at times too much 'stuff' (read plot development) is happening and thus character development takes a back seat. I would like to see things slow down a bit so we can get some more character development, especially between the MC and his ladies.
