story is good at the start but its ending is too immediate or you can say fast . The last chapter single handedly brought down the good things about the book
i will just talk about the translators
with the Translator from chapter 1 to 317:
Translator: Exodus Tales:
perfect translation, smooth, fun to read.
The Translator from chapter 318 to the end:
Translator: 549690339 (whats wrong with that name ?? is that a phone number?? xD):
Translator is a big word that he is not fit to be called that because he didn't translate anything.
then is he editor??? hmmm no he is unworthy to be called that
then what is he?
he is MTL Spice thrower (mtl translation but little little bit better) that's all.
its sad to see one of Lin Fan stories fall because of translations :(
It’s not bad, but I hate the author’s style. IT IS NOT INTERESTING. What a wasted 200 thousand votes!!.....................:.......::...::.::::::::::
The beginning was good, but when characters from the MC's past started to appear the story became confusing, it seems that I skipped book 1 and started directly in the book 2 because many characters from the MC's past appear quickly and without much explanation about them.
The MC doesn't really feel like a mage, he just seems like a cultivator focused on spells rather than weapons and that point spoiled the novel for me.
The author had a great idea but failed to execute.
Seems like i read a little bit of this before. I dont really know what to expect but so far it is good. The translation quality is fine and the story is coming along. For now its still early to tell.
I hope reviews can be edited so as to increare or decrease rating after reading a bit more.
- - - - 200 chapter review - - - -
Take into account:
- The novel is written by a guy like you or me, not a Japanese manga team.
- The Author gets paid by people’s donations and stones, and with that has written hundreds of chapters.
Negatives;
- The first part of the novel (up to 56-80ish) is riddled with errors and inconsistencies, often dramatically breaking the feeling of immersion. It gives the impression that the Author was personally just scrapping by with his novel, and not thinking everything through.
- The first portion also is pretty cliché in its story, (but would yours be better?
I think the first guy was wrong this isn't like RSSG its more of a cross-over between RSSG and A New World. Has an MC that uses knowledge of the pass to get ahead of everyone else (check), uses that same knowledge to get legendary class, weapon, and armor when first logging in (check), Uses knowledge to setup up a guild building, hire craftsman, create guild, to not only farm karma but to get further ahead; stating later that the guild building will be useless later on (check).
This isn't like A New World where it takes 100 chapters to get to the next day because the author over explains everything to even what type of dust is on the ground. But at the same time, this novel doesn't really say a whole lot either, at least so far...I try to read the first 50 chapters before leaving a review, more so if I want to see how things play out or if I can't make up my mind; for example what I did for "Bloodline system" I read till chapter 500 before I left a review". But, I've read up until chapter 60, and really reading this is equivalent to "I did this in game, then this, then this, and this happen, then I did this, and this, and this, and look I'm so lucky...btw my world is on the brink of destruction, with pullulated air, barren fields & crops, zombie's, massive radiation, etc...but hey we're fine now because I moved us to a better location, so we can play this game that the government is forcing down our throats"...and then I did this, and this, and this,.....haaa it makes no sense lol
For those reasons I rated this as a 2.8. It's not bad but, story wise it doesn't make sense why; if his world was full of such destruction the government would force everyone to play a game; when their REAL bodies would still be in a fallen world....
As VOXGADAR notes in a comment, the author abandoned the novel at chapter 237 just this weekend. Gave 3 stars just to remember it in the future and check if it restarts.
He's already started a new one "Mysterious world, I have a martial arts modifier" aka 神诡世界,我有武学修改器.
Time to quit this novel.
1. MC has no real goals and motives to become strong. Just a vague saying to "reach martial hights". Don't like aimless arrows shooting nowhere.
2. Story development is too slow. Fed up with this little royal intrigues. This is a martial arts novel, right?
3. No good written character, just a bunch of so-so written cliche ones like "fat and loyal friend", "quiet and hardworking friend", "tsundere girl" and etc.
4. The cultivation system is a mess. Why not use the standard system of 9 stages with 9 parts (houtian, xiantaian and etc). Author tried to create new system? Well, he failed. absolutely confusing system.
5. Fed up with authors exagerrations. Millions years of life just cause of the pill? And he also uses completely nonsene sentences just to write "cool" text, something like "A man and a saber sat under the moon." WTF? when sabers became living things which can sit?
6. Author sometimes make charcters act and then try to justify their actions. That's wrong. Cause when you see that character acts this way without any reason you already change your view if him/her and when author tries to justify his/her actions later, well, it doesn't work, cause his/her image was already ruined. author needs to first build a reason to hate somebody and give reasons to certain actions and then make characters act, not vice versa.
7. Names. Names of the skills, techniques and etc. suks.
8. Too OP skills. According to the descriptions if MC learns just this dagger technique there will be no suspense in his future. Then why bother readin we already can guess that he will kill everybody easily.
Well, there are too many problems with this novel. thanks for the mistakes of the author, now i will try to avoid something like that.
i thought i sloted for male protagonist, so why is this female lead here?
or are all the novels now no longer care about gender...
The MC is overpowered and the story background is still going along the plot not like some other author that waste chapters and still go astray
Great Book. I am expecting really great thing since the story has been on point so far.
