It’s a fairly decent novel overall. While the concept is pretty good, it’s also very standard and nothing truly amazing happens in the novel. The writing quality is readable but with plenty of mistakes each chapter. The biggest problem with the story is it just feels lazy, there’s many strange decisions, errors and problems that are in this novel that probably shouldn’t be, in addition the author doesn’t really seem to care about any of that. It’s good for a free novel, but it would not be worth paying for compared to almost any other cultivation novel
First of all excuse me if there are mistakes english is not my native language. What I can say about this story is that for now it is well written, the characters and the plot is well constructed. The fights are well described without being too surrealist so I like that. For finished I hope that the author continues like that both for the frequency of these updates and for the quality of its plot.
This is a very good story pls keep writing and also can you give me some tips on how to improve my story and pls go check out the story 'The Devil's hitman'. i just uploaded it today THANK YOU!
I absolutely love this light novel. I'm rereading this series for s third time just waiting for the next book to be released in October. Part of me really want a third season of the anime ( especially of Ainz fight in the Colosseum) but another part is concerned how much they would have to change
Overall a very enjoyable plot and idea. It feels like a very free RPG and I like the idea of that. I can envision the world well and the story progresses at a reasonable pace. The writing can be a bit sloppy at times, but I think the other aspects makes up for it.
it's such a bummer when .you know that the novel is about a gamer in a game that has no real effect in his life and doesn't really Carry any significance. even if the mc gets something like a cheat, that's what it is. it's a cheat. it's called a cheat because it's unfair and it breaks the game's balance. and a chat group between game bosses is kind of stupid If there is no advanced AI as bosses since that would mean that the bosses are real humans controlling the avatars. and that would mean that there is no real reason for them to have a chatroom to talk in. and when the mc joins they would immediately notice him and throw him out
Compared to the 'First' novel, this novel's quality is lower..... It seems to me that this is just added flavor after the end of the king's avatar novel. What I expect when I saw the novel is a 'real' prequel..... Of course what I expect to see is when Ye Xiu decided to run from home to play games to meeting Su siblings then to their rise in glory and then the creation of esports of glory then to the creation of team excellent era of course with Tao Xuan, Manager Cui, Ye Xiu, Su Mu Qiu (from a group of people from a computer shop to pro team) and Wu Xuefeng and to Su Mu Qiu's death and then to Ye Xiu's resolve to win championship for them....This is what a prequel is (IMO) and not a how-they-meet-up and time-skips of fight....Also because of the many time skips, there are many feelings and emotions that aren't portrayed just like how Butterfly Blue portrayed the feelings and emotions of the players in the middle of the novel......It felt that this novel is kinda rushed, just like the ending of the novel of origin....I'm really disappointed given the hype of this new novel after the ending of the mother novel....*sigh~~But still, all in all, I will still continue to read this since my score has nothing to do with the fact that I WANT MORE OF KING'S AVATAR!!And the enjoyment I got is still higher than what my score suggests....What my score meant is my disappointment in my rant above.. ༼☯﹏☯༽
Although at the time of me posting this there are only 22 chapters, I have to say that I have really enjoyed it so far and am excited to see where it goes. ?The story follows Otto who has gone back in time to when he first entered the Tower. As a fan of these climbing style novels it has everything I like: overpowered traits/classes, hidden piece collecting, a smart protagonist who makes use of everything available to him, and great battle scenes with the room for a lot of variation.A couple things I am really excited for: Otto training and assembling a team of kickass climbers, and seeing more of the tower that so far the author has only given us a small taste of.One things that slightly worries me: A common pitfall of these style of novels is when the MC + Team start acquiring insane amounts of abilities that in turn makes it hard to remember them / many of them quickly become useless. With the nature of the MCs class (which i won’t spoil) I feel this could get excessive really fast.. but for now i will trust the author!Despite there only being 22 chapters, each of them is meatier than 2 chapters of most books on this site, so dont hesitate to give it a try now! ?
The clan he built and the characters I cared about just died like that because of his stupid decision haaaah and then the cliche where there are stronger than him during his heyday it would still be interesting even without those stupid cultivation cliches but no, the author decided that the omnipotent dad is not so omnipotent but just an arrogant senile old man Honestly, the thing that draws people to read this novel is the fluffy scene(barely) and the character development sadly the novel turned into I'm the strongest but there are stronger out there so I will head out to get stronger again and there are mysterious characters which are not so mysterious at all and aren't even interesting at all and lastly the title should be changed he wasn't omnipotent at all he was incompetent honestly.
I stopped at chapter 72 because with what little had happened it would make much more sense if I was on chapter 10-20. Seriously not a lot happens but every little thing gets a chapters worth of info dump to explain it. Some kid wants to steal something? Well, between "Hey, I have an idea." and the next sentence where he says "Lets steal a thing." there's literally a whole chapter padding things out. And what for? More context? A paragraph could've done that. A whole chapter is hardly called for... That's the basic formula of this story. Not to mention whatever content we get excluding the one theft subplot which was decently interesting revolves entirely around thoughts on his cultivation or info on his training. There's a slight feeling of progression but mostly you're left wondering why the story isn't focused on something more interesting. So as if it's not bad enough there's so many chapters of nothing, what we do get is barely passable as a story. The story just isn't that interesting.
