Okay so let me just say this—this guy is genuinely one of the most interesting characters in the entire household, and I don't think people are giving him enough credit. On the surface he's just this rich young master playing teacher with his servant, but the way he handles Shengxia reveals so much about his actual nature. He didn't plan to teach her at all. He only offered because he couldn't refuse her eagerness. That's not manipulation—that's just a fundamentally decent person who doesn't like seeing someone turned away when they're asking for something genuine. And then watch what happens: once he sees she's actually bright and quick, his whole demeanor shifts. The text literally says his tone changed from 'casual amusement to genuine seriousness.' He starts treating her like a real student, not a passing amusement. He gives her the book, the inkstone, the brushes, the paper—everything she needs to practice alone. That's not condescension, that's respect. He's giving her the tools and the autonomy to grow. Meanwhile Pengmo, who's been by his side for years, gets treated more like a pet project. The Young Master plays with him, gets frustrated, but ultimately cuts him loose with a wave. With Shengxia, he sets expectations: 'If you do [act like Pengmo], I will not be so lenient next time.' He's investing in her because she's earning it. What really gets me though is how he navigates the power dynamics. He knows perfectly well that a young master teaching a maid could be seen as improper, yet he doesn't hide it—he has Shengxia go straight to Jinzhu to make it above board. That's smart, and it shows he cares about her reputation as much as his own. Who else in this household would do that?
The ball is coming and bad guys are ready to come out. Let the fun begin!

Page after page of repeated descriptions of sexual encounters. I am tired of paying for the same pages over an over again. NO MORE.
