I’ve read each book in this series and it’s been incredible. I love following along with authors, watching them grow and improve. The storylines make you invested and you quickly fall head over heals with the entire series, much like the characters do within the pages ;)

The detail about her checking under the bed and finding that clay jar with gold bangles and a jade bracelet? Chef's kiss. But what really made me sit up straight was her decision to spare Gu Weimin. She literally thought through the logistics: two paralyzed people in one family would raise suspicion, so she strategically left one standing. That's not just revenge—that's cold, calculated strategy. And then the morning-after scene where she hums a tune she doesn't even realize is hers? That's the transmigration reveal done in one subtle beat. No exposition dump, just a tiny detail that tells us everything. The plot also weaves in the election subplot seamlessly—she's manipulating the educated youths' votes while the Gu family is falling apart. By the time Zhang Youlin becomes brigade leader and announces the exam leave policy, the power structure of the entire village has shifted. And then BAM, the Jiang Ze reveal about being kidnapped. The story is layering conflicts like a pro.
Good read, but fix grammar and it will better.
