The narrator and protagonist, a young police undercover officer. He infiltrated the Wen family alongside Bian Ci. He was captured by Wen Qingshan who used his uncle as leverage. He pretended to be loyal to Wen Qingshan as part of a larger trap. He and Bian Ci were inseparable friends since middle school, and in the epilogue, he confesses his romantic feelings to Bian Ci, revealing he never only wanted to be friends.
