Chen Yaodong's third uncle, now in his seventies, never married, with gray hair and a long goatee. He is an excellent painter whose work is lifelike but unrecognized. He previously drew master plates for the counterfeit operation as a favor to help the village. He has deep hatred for Japan because his father (Chen Yaodong's grandfather) was killed by the Japanese. He is strict and disapproves of the counterfeiting but was initially complicit.
