Shu Yuan
Shu Yuan is the protagonist of the story, a woman who transmigrated into a period novel set in 1980s China. Originally from a wealthy modern family with a two-hundred-square-meter luxury apartment in the city center, she finds herself in the body of a twenty-five-year-old woman in the Hongxing Electronics Factory residential compound. The original host had become pregnant at nineteen and gave birth to a son, Xiao Man, at age twenty, keeping this secret from everyone except her eldest sister Shu Ping and the midwife. Shu Yuan is intelligent, decisive, and morally conscious. She refuses to participate in the deception of the blind date and quickly makes up her mind to travel to the northeast to find and save Xiao Man from being sold to human traffickers on the Spring Equinox. She does not particularly like children and initially questions why she should fix the original host's mistakes, but ultimately decides to take action due to the urgency of the situation. She has delicate features, waist-length black hair, and was once described as the belle of the electronics factory.
