Mr. Yang
Male, Chi Yao's biological father. He married Chi Yao's mother for her family's money, not out of love. He resented that Chi Yao took his mother's surname and never truly accepted him as his son. He had a mistress outside and wanted a son, but the mistress never got pregnant. When his wife's betrayal was revealed through a blood test showing his stepsister was not his child, he went into a rage and was stabbed by his stepmother with a fruit knife. After recovering, he became ill with multiple health issues including a liver growth. He desperately sought reconciliation with Chi Yao and Chi Yan, but Chi Yao rejected him, stating they were not family and Chi Yan belonged to the Chi family. He lost the court case during his divorce and became a lonely, pitiful man.
