repeated storyline, to many POV. seems kiddish. all sex scenes are literally the same. it has a good plot but could be written so much better

You're settling in, getting comfortable with this warm atmosphere. And then—cut to Jiang Runsheng's bridal chamber and the entire tone shifts. The pacing accelerates hard. Drunkenness, manipulation, humiliation, the wilted cucumber reveal. It's like the author grabbed you by the collar and yanked you into a completely different story. Then back to Qingyan's morning, slow and gentle again with Duoduo tickling her face. You're breathing again. The contrast between the two wedding nights is so sharp it almost hurts. And just as you think the chapter is winding down with this domestic morning scene, BAM—Jinye is back and he's telling his mother he doesn't love his wife and won't consummate the marriage and has someone else he likes. The structure here is basically: comfort → shock → comfort → shock → cliffhanger. It's a rollercoaster and the author is the kind of driver who lets you hold on for dear life. The chapter ends mid-conversation, with Jinye about to reveal (or refuse to reveal) who the other woman is, and you are NOT getting any sleep tonight. What I love most is that the author doesn't rush the emotional beats. Qingyan's moment of connecting the pumpkin rice to her dead mother gets space to breathe. Chunya's breakdown in her room isn't glossed over. The parallel structure between the two wedding nights isn't just a gimmick—it's the entire point. Two women, two different fates, two different nights, and the reader is left wondering which path Qingyan will actually take.
