The story is great so far! Your first few chapters really hooked me and it's very well-written. Just be mindful that you tend to shift from present tense to past tense a lot - just stick to one tense. Other than that it's an awesome book. Keep it up author :)
The atmosphere in these chapters is *oppressive* and I mean that in the best way. The factory meeting scene is one of those moments where the setting does so much heavy lifting. August heat, sweltering, people sweating through their clothes while Lu Yanzhou stands up there in a light gray shirt with not a single drop of sweat. The sunlight makes him look almost divine — this is deliberate visual storytelling. He's elevated literally and figuratively above everyone else in that space. And then Lin Miaomiao, who hasn't slept, is staggering through it all, vision blurring, about to collapse. The contrast between his composure and her physical deterioration tells you everything about their current situations without a single line of exposition. I also love the detail about the dormitory system — collective dorms, single dorms, family dorms — this tiny worldbuilding detail establishes the entire social hierarchy of the factory. It's not just backdrop, it's a plot mechanism. Lin Miaomiao's dream of a single dormitory isn't just about comfort, it's about dignity and independence. And the gossip scene where Yu Meijing literally grabs two women by the hair — that's such a vivid, almost cinematic moment. You can *see* it. The whole workplace feels alive, suffocating, and real.

all these stories are exactly the same. family is horrible to the spouse. spouse has never slept together (so odd) always another person. treats spouse horrible and like a slave never loved them until divorce
