overall decent quality translation. and even the machine translations found elsewhere do not show a significant drop in quality vs what is given here with proper nouns left in chinese but everything else is translated properly. also there is a French translation online too. both the French and mtl go up a few hundred chapters.
I've only read a few chapters. With that in mind, here's my impression. I appreciate the fact how the narrator just jumps straight into the action without any drama, narrating from a third person's perspective, and then slowly switches and dials it down so that the reader can keep up with the world. It does pique your curiosity, and I'm going to keep an eye out for more.
Pls update more chapter!!! Cant wait to read next chapter...................................................................................................
I'm not good at writing reviews and I almost do not do them, I only like the chapters, but this time I'll do it. This story is very immersive, you dare to read, it excites you so much that it leaves you with the creeps and leaves you the feeling of more chapters.
The story ia unique but due to the fact that it has becone a premium novel, i have no choice to remove this from my library and force myself to forget about the countless hours that i have wasted to read this novel only for it to move behind a paywall.
Ok, first off, let me negate all the low ratings. Secondly, I know that a lot of people have been gathering hate for this in the past few days (weeks) because of the fillers and the romance.Well let me tell you. This Is A Classic! It occured to me that the author is now aiming for this novel to have a tv series adaptation going by feel and nature of this story. As a classic CN would have that "classical" feel of love on the battlefield, a true polymerization of Action and Romance, a blend of youthful vibes and adrenaline if all kinds, a combination of....Ak pui~ who am I kidding!? This is a Korean Drama for pete's sake!Read this novel and you'll get a girlfriend, that's all I have to say.
I hope she melts his stone cold heart
I'm done reading all the chapters, please update soon. Also update for your other story, I really love your writing style. My english vocabulary wasn't really wide and your choice of words makes it easy for me to understand, that's why I enjoy reading your story.
I started reading this at 11pm and it is now 2:47am and I have read seven chapters and I need to explain why I cannot stop. Chapter 1 is a masterclass in setup. We get Gu Nanzhi's entire backstory in about three paragraphs — fake heiress, swapped at birth, parents dead, exiled to a courtyard — and then the magical inciting incident happens within the first page of her arriving. The rice ball lands on the box, the box glows white, the rice ball disappears. Done. In one beat. The author doesn't waste a single word on explanation. She just does it and moves on. Then the chapter ends with a hard cut to Bei Jiang and a family that is already at the point of cannibalism. This is the kind of pacing that makes you feel like you're falling. There's no breathing room, no "meanwhile" transition — just BAM, you're in a different timeline with a different family and they are already desperate. Chapter 2 is where the emotional weight hits. Shen Zhinian's refusal, the assault implied but not shown, her running to the mountain, the jewelry box trembling — this chapter is basically one long descent into hopelessness that somehow still ends with her finding a rice ball. The pacing here is almost cruel. The author gives us hope (the rice ball appears!) and then immediately takes it away (her father slaps her, accuses her, refuses to eat it). Every time I thought things were getting better, they got worse. Chapter 3 starts with Old Madam Shen waking up and the family dividing the porridge. And this is where the pacing gets really interesting because the tension doesn't come from whether they'll eat — they're going to eat, we know that — it comes from the FAMILY DYNAMICS. Shen Shumo reaching for more food, Su Shi slapping his hand away, Shen Zhinian telling him "none for you." The starvation is the backdrop but the real drama is in who gets what and who deserves it. The author is playing with two timelines and I'm already convinced they're going to collide in a way that's going to wreck me.
Amazing! Ley and Blake is the ultimate love story.
superb! ...
This book started off interesting. Then it just went all over. The characters stories are all over the place. The poor girl Stella is suffering throughout. This book basically shows how a female is mentally and physically abused and stuck with no help or love.
