This is the most confusing and mindbreaking story I have ever read. I can say that the main character is well written, but there is not a lot of context to anything, where is this, what is happening, who are all these people, it's kind of all over the place and there is so much that is crammed into the story arcs, the writing will sometime make sense, but often it will tear away the semblance of understanding the reader is trying to find, I think that this is an interesting story, but it should be grounded in something, with a curse upon the land, characters that just appear without any description, it feels like there is no context built for the reader to connect to the story, and therefore one cannot imagine the world in a sense.
Other than that I find it kinda fascinating, but I'm unable to read more than a few chapters at the time as it never stop giving me headaches

The feels of this novel kinda like a Japanese movie--I forgot the title,sheesh--it will give you the thrills if you want one! All I can say is, this is a rare gem from the wanderlust imagination of the author! Good job!
Just read the first chapter. It's amazing. Too amazing perhaps. Jokes aside, this is a pretty good read. The first chapter was quite thrilling and I'm hoping the rest of it'll be solid too.
I enjoyed it but right as it was rolling along we get an abrupt end. I hope there is book two or something. World buildings was good as well as motivation but its too soon.
Okay I would not be surprised if this novel wins WSA. No, I mean like for real. It has all the ingredients to win it AND the writing is publication quality. 5star does not do it justice.
1. Writing quality: PAR EXCELLENCE. NO typos, grammatical errors. Vocabulary congruent to the story and setting. And words are lucid and not unnecessarily convoluted. Flows easily.
2. Stability of Updates: stable lol
3. Story development: superb pacing. Doesn't dawdle, gets into the thick of things right away without compromising the pacing. Very very interesting twist on the transmigration/system genre and you do not have to be a fan of the genre to like it, you will like it either way. There are the elements of an epic story that you will know about pretty early. Also, political conflict is there, which makes it even better for me. lol.
4. Character Design: Superb simply. The MC only really interacts with the system but you can already tell he will be a fun MC to follow. Fun and brave, the elements of a perfect hero. And the heroine is compelling too. :D
5. World Background: Superb. Beautifully explained by the system without making it sound weary and expositional.
REALLY GREAT WORK. Will definitely stay in my library. I cannot wait for Alex and Archmage to speak with each for the first time.

I love how the author sets you up with a ton of mystery and questions at the start then artfully lets it unfold around you as you read. Ooh the level of skill gave me shivers!
The characters, more particularly their dynamics with each other, are superb. Evin is fantastic, he is witty, opinionated, but equally tormented by his father and burdened by the pressures of society. He has hopes, dreams, and the author does a great job of making believable, if not entirely realistic characters. Such raw emotion in a book is hard to come by, too. I really felt so much for all of them.
The world building was equally as good. Although I had a lot of questions at the start, the more I read the more everything pieced itself together, unravelling the mysterys of the world like any good book should. Not once did I lose interest, the story was fast paced, well thought out, and bolstered by some absolutely top quality description.
If you cant tell, I really dont have any bad things to say about this book. Perhaps give a little warning about the abusive nature of the father? But honestly, this novel was so compelling, I would recommend it to anyone either way.

I enjoyed the back story and history that was showed from the gods and how we basically now no who Korthax really is or who he "reformed into". But yeah I almost had to hire an assassin because I wanted to rear these stories again. The author is very fortunate he posted a new chapter when he did. The battles of World War I have all been signified by the intense bloodshed and brutal fighting which took place. The Battle of the Somme had become notorious for the heavy death toll on both sides, and the Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) for how the commanding officers paid no attention to the lives of their men. However, the most suitable battle for opting out is the Second Battle of Ypres, for the mental effects of the first German use of chemical weapons, the exposed positions of units placed in Ypres, and most importantly, the complete lack of prior Canadian participation in the war on such large scales. During the opening days of the battle, the German Army tested out their new weapon, Chlorine Gas, on the opposing side. The lethal gas formed hydrochloric acid with water from the airways of its victims, causing intense burning and eventually death due to its corrosive properties to living tissue. If a person survives the initial attack, they are susceptible to long-term complications caused by acute lung damage, especially in those who smoke. Compared to the other battles given, Second Ypres was unique in its use of chemical weapons. However, even if the soldier in question (SOL-X for short), had prior knowledge of the attack and brought precautionary measures, his mates in the trenches did not, and after the attack, the high levels of suffering would damage SOL-X’s mental health for years after the war.A second reason for SOL-X to opt out of this battle is the exposed position of Allied troops in Ypres. The battle took place in a huge salient that was surrounded by German forces from three sides, and, noting the fate of the defenders in Soviet salients during Operation Barbarossa, wasn’t a safe position for the allies. The bulge was surrounded on all sides by the Germans, except on the west. As a result, they were at constant risk of encirclement, and a breach in the front could lead to the liquidation of all allied corps in the area. This will create immense psychological pressure on SOL-X, and will likely result in severe trauma on SOL-X.The third and most important reason is the utter and complete inexperience of the Canadian troops at the Second Battle of Ypres. It was the first battle the Canadians fought in on such a large scale, and casualties during the battle were high. Most men weren’t prepared for the horrors of the trenches and the intensity of enemy attacks. As a result, many lives were claimed by the landmines and enemy snipers. If we assume that SOL-X has prior knowledge of the positions of enemy sniper posts and mines, and the next operations by the German High Command, the Allied commanders do not. As a result, SOL-X will have a high chance of death during the ‘human-wave’ attacks, from enemy bullets or even friendly fire. Also, his trench mates would be inexperienced against the assaulting enemies, and that adds even more to the already significant probability of SOL-X not surviving the war.To sum up the previous three paragraphs, the soldier in question should opt out from the Second Battle of Ypres, despite the horrors brought on by the Battle of the Somme and Third Ypres, due to the gas attacks, exposed Allied positions, and the inexperience of the Canadian troops.
