I can’t put the story down it’s that good.
Great read. Some spelling mistakes but not lots and the story was great. Wasn’t sure at first, but a couple chapters in and I was hooked. The app though that charges as much as they have been per chapter is incredibly stupid and greedy.

Great Book!!! It’s so funny, but suspenseful. I want to keep reading and reading. Each chapter is leaving you wanting more. This book is a good read.. I am in my late 40s and have many a books.. This is a book I would read again and again.. Very rare to find good authors anymore!! It’s a must read..
I need to talk about Meng Yanchen because this man is a whole psychological case study. Let me just say—he's not the same guy from twenty chapters ago. The way he looked at Fan Shengmei across the street, that fleeting smile before the little girl appeared? That was genuine. Not calculated. Not strategic. Just... warm. And then it vanished so fast I thought I imagined it. But Xu Qin—oh god, Xu Qin. She's been playing with fire for years and now she's finally getting burned. The scene where Meng Yanchen calls her by her full name for the first time? I literally gasped. That's not just anger—that's him drawing a line he's never drawn before. And her reaction? Running into Qin Yu, screaming she'll never speak to him again, while he's just standing there like "I didn't even ask..." The tragedy is she has no idea how much he's already given her. The car keys she wants? They're still there because no one sent them back. She thinks it's neglect but it's actually—what, respect? Giving her space? I can't tell anymore. And the Fan Shengmei situation is a whole other level. She walked into his office smelling like green citrus, wearing the same dress from the aquarium day, and he immediately shut her down. But then when she tried to leave, he couldn't let her go. "I told you—I'm not busy. Say it." That's not a powerful CEO. That's a man who's completely uncharacteristically vulnerable and hates himself for it. The three of them—Meng Yanchen, Xu Qin, Song Yan—are like a triangle where every side is on fire. And Leaf? She's watching from the bar counter with that smile. Mark my words, she's going to be the one who picks up the pieces.
