Would rate it higher but not much in 20 chapters! My standards may be low but all I want is a story that can keep my attention! If it catches my eye I rate them on if I think this story could grow! So I think this story has potential but see where it can fall off quickly!
Love this book so far! Great character development so far! Intrigued to see where the story will go from here. Can easily see a series developing with different characters. Ready for the entire book 1 to be finished.

This novel is one of my favorite fantasy novels, there's a beast for hunting, and there's qi to improve which are very fun and exciting. Plus, I can see the development of Leng San's (The protagonist) power. So that it makes me want to read more to know if he can set up Leng's family, and how is Freya's fairy going, will she be the heroine or not. Let's see!!
great book, this is the first book in reading where the MC becomes something that shares no similarity to humans and it's amazing. His relationship with his siblings is developed so well and actually matters. He's actually smart and uses his brain. The descriptions of the settings are so vivid and enrapturing, one of the best books I've read

If you don't like MC being forcefully enslaved and tortured by the heroine candidate then this novel isn't for you.
I rate it 5 because although I hate Celine as much as I hated Mineta, Malty and Rachel, the novel deserves attention.
