By clearly judging the book by its cover, all I can say is...
Shameless Author Review:
As the author of this novel, I plan on making it the best.
So join the ride, that we may ride to a New and Fun Life.[img=gift]
Hi everyone,
Author here.
I am not comfortable giving reviews on my own work, it feels a lot like self adulation to me (Which I've always likened to narcissism.)
Anyways let's go to the reason why you are here. The book. Er... no, the review for the book.
The Primordial Record is not a fast paced book. But because it's a web novel, I tried to skim across overly long descriptions, to make a tighter story. I may have failed, you my dear readers would be the judge of that.
Based on the settings of my book, which is Transmigration. The MC is swamped in a flood of deceit and lies. And because I made him overpowered, I had to balance that with really dangerous enemies, that understands the capabilities of the MC and make every confrontation a deadly affair. I abhor weak and stupid antagonist.
From the start he would be placed in a unfavorable position and he would need every wit and cunning he possess to win.
I would not be leaving obvious hints, I left many Setups and I trust my readers to figure them out as they proceed with the story, for I am a fan of puzzles, and if you stick around long enough, I hope you would be surprised by the Payoffs.
The Primordial Record may not be an easy book to read, and I sincerely apologize for that. I left details of certain abilities and the world itself vague, as it is a huge world and I dont like info-dumps. There are many horrifying themes presented inside and spoilers warning. I am willing to kill off characters, if it would serve the story.
I hope you enjoy this world. Because ultimately that is the reason I write. For your pleasure.
Bricktrader.
I commend the the author for the time spent in crafting character design and world background. The descriptions were all too vivid for anyone not to understand the story. Most of the story contained just the descriptions of things that Vee did to get stronger and less on conversations with other people. As much as she wants to develop on her own, the road to the top is never easy. That's why I think she needs one friend who'll always be on her side. Dern is annoying, I'm not Vee but even I know that.
Very thrilling story but I only felt that at the earliest chapters with her brother and when she was still around people.
Author drags every chapter as much as possible.Sometimes they even talk for chapters. And the main character have a disgusting personality. It wants me want to drop this novel.Firstt he is naiveThen arrogantThen timidThen he gets a cuckold personality where he don’t care when people is plotting against him and letting them do it.He just smiles at everyone and acts like he is someone under them. And author just forces personalities upon personalities into the main character. And calls it “mysterious”. He even lets his whole kingdom gets humiliated several times because it’s “A part of the plan” and right after he said he wants to be a saint with no killing .
The premise is good and I he system seems decent too but the speed of plot advancement and the irrelevance of cultivation throws you off. There’s no political intrigue. It’s more of a action cultivation novel where the mc is an emperor. The worst is the inconsistency in translation, which ranges from names of the empires, cultivation levels, characters and more. Even the mc’s name has a George in it at one point for some reason. In conclusion, even if the plot is decent with potential, the translation leaves it abysmal to read.
It looks very promising. I feel like the beginning is similar to The Age of Global Gods, but the world seems to be very much wellconstructed and developed, and the plots better constructed. After the first chapters, things change completely and I love the first volume.I hope the author will continue and not abandon it cause I really enjoyed the first 100 chapters of TAoGD ; before it went freestyle.
The description gives me ORV(Omniscient Reader Viewpoint) vibes, which I really like and find the constellations' reactions funny. And I have a feeling this will be a great read.
This Novel is Good. Anticipating more chapters
I know this novel is below average but can you guys stop saying that Qidian stole someone's work. They didn't stole it they bought the copyright licence to translate it in English. Man some anime fans are stupidest beings alive. Lmao, the amount of toxicity Qidian has to face just for bringing out official translation.
I have to give this novel a 4.8. It's too good. Better than My House of Horrors. I'd give it a solid 5 if only the word count was longer. Highly recommended. It's basically A Serenade for the Innocent in Chinese form with way more detail. Its incredibly impressive and went further and exceeded beyond the limits of my expectations. Very similar to Here Lies the Wicked with more of an Chinese feel. Normally, I wouldn't think that possible. I'd like to say good job for the author in making this miracuclous work and thank you to the translators and editors for putting time and effort into changing it into English with a spinechilling story and effects.
Very interesting. Although the author may have included some more explanation of Christian concepts for those unfamiliar to be able to feel more comfortable with the story.
