The amouth of false votes is amazing or there are 6000 stupid a out there, the novel is waaaay overrated, while the translation quality and speed is nice the rest is avarage at best, the world building is confusing as fuk, and the character development a mess
So having read past chapter 80 I feel fully confident in giving my review. This book is not enjoyable to read, and the reason why is somewhat hard to spot. The biggest flaw is that I, as a reader, actively want Kael to die. He is a whiny, crybaby who got what he deserved. He says that he suddenly has trust for women again after his mom had stepped out on his dad...but why? He trusts two women, one of whom had a child with another man. None of the reasoning seems to hold together very well. The dark elements are done really well, but they don't seem to ever be in the forefront.The universe itself is fairly decent, a good story could definitely grow from these basic story roots, but it never does. While it is possible that Kael eventual grows a set of testicles, I find that very unlikely. Even if he does, these 80 chapters are not salvageable.

I wish Qidian still told us who the translators are so we could boycott them after dropping novels like this. Its a shame this novel was dropped, I stopped reading for a few months to let the chapters build up, come back and waddaya know.
Can't describe how awesome this novel is going. It is definitely a must read. YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Like seriously! If you're tired of looking at cliche novels out there, this one is definitely a breath of fresh air for you to read on. I swear you'll be begging for more <3
very good, only problem is that it just stopped the whoke monster thing and just became a cultivation novel for more than I am comftrable with and it feels like its not worth it
It's a decent read so far. MC is a bit OP, but I haven't seen him do anything particularly foolish or self destructive yet, so he gets a pass for now.
Man, the story is great but the translation and the update cadence is horrible
A lot of nationalism and racism apathetic mc one dimensional side characters it isn't worth reading.
