I just simply love this book. I know chances are slim but I hope this book get selected.Give it a try you will not waste your time.
I'm an Indian btw but I'll be open minded for now and won't berate the novel without reading it. Lol the appearance of the synopsis has created a battle between people who think the novel is racist and the ones that don't. Other than that I do not know about the story so for now I'll give an average review.
This novel has an interesting premise. That, however, is quite literally the only positive aspect of the novel, in my opinion. Interactions are highly superficial, depictions of the wealthy and nobility are skewed, and the characters are so bland that it makes you wonder if any thought was put into making them come across as humans. From the very beginning, there are some plot points that take away from the reading experience. The main character, who is supposedly 10 years old, acts like a robot. The author seems to believe that blind people are also emotionless. The plot is also severely lacking, progressing so quickly that it creates utter disbelief. The whole process, from the protagonist getting adopted by his foster family to the publication of his first book and the establishment of his own company, takes mere months. The protagonist publishes (plagiarizes) a masterpiece like The Hobbit while having been blind for most of his life without the necessary education or an adequate sense for the intricacies of literature. It is justified with the excuse of him being a genius, but that makes no sense. I doubt that there exists a single ten-year-old in the world who has such an astounding grasp of the language and an innate understanding of the challenges that come with being a writer. Granted, that is not his own ability, but everyone apart from the protagonist believes otherwise, which contradicts basic common sense. These, of course, are just a few examples of the jarring plot points that shifted my perspective from that of a reader to that of a critic. Finally, I would still like to congratulate the author for taking the difficult step of writing this novel. Although my review might seem extremely harsh, I hope that the author, assuming that my review comes to their attention, understands that my frustration towards this novel stems from the fact that it shows a lot of wasted potential.
To who ever wrote that «18+ warning» up there I say :1# no one give a sh*t .2# thanks for the encouragement to read this .3# already reading it .

I am quite dissapointed.I mean I slogged through 1000+ chapters. I came for mech building/design with system but for past 700 chapters I've instead been watching a glorified technician making foolish decisions then justifying them with some frankly ridiculous logic and the pseudo version of the 'Dao' that is the design philosophy. MC also has standard Chinese MC trait of licking the governments ass at every opportunity even when they do everything they can to manipulate/screw him over (they literally shot him to stage an assassination and MC was pissed off for all of 1 paragraph then he's back to lick lick lick). Honestly without plot armour, MC would not have survived the first.MC also gives me whiplash on how his morality and feelings for others change. First he treats his Vandal colleagues like trusted comrades, then next second they are just *mere* numbers to be thrown into the meat grinder. He also seems to make all these 'deals' that never seem to favour him. Every accomplishment/gain must be follwed by a monumentous **** up, ominous portents or some inherent problem with the gain so its not much of win at all. MC has shown classic traits of psycopathy but is still emotionally attached in the strangest of ways. His family pretty much abandoned him at the start, the government has been more of a hindrance than any help, but he is still strangely patriotic. On the other hand, the skill shown in writing is pretty much top-tier as original novels in this place go. For a heavily re-skinned xianxia, author has put in quite a bit of thought as far as world building goes as well. This is my personal gripe but it would be a lot better if it were't for all the chinese euphemisms and writing style. Borrowing ideas and concepts is one thing, but writing a supposed western space opera as if one were actually translating a chinese fic is another.
Very enjoyable, some minor delays in updating but good read. i vote for The book every other day and gIft every 45 chapters. Reasonable original content and enjoyable character interactions.
It gets better and better!
