Thank Qidian International for picking up this novel. Otherwise, this would sit in the dust. A lot of drama about translation copyrights with other sites, but man, I just want to read good novels and this is one of them.
This is a poorly thought out cross between video games and bad xanxia. To give an example, the MC runs around murdering hundreds of spirit animals to the point that there aren't anymore in a large area and earns millions for doing it. Yet somehow, none of the other powerful cultivators (say the hundreds/thousands of them that are a stage above him) think to do the same because...video game logic. The translation isn't the worst I have seen on Webnovel but it is bad. The numbers on the MCs stat page are regularly wrong, numbers rarely add properly, sentences are horrible to read at times and so on.The MC is ... not good. He has no issues killing monsters or people as soon as he sees them because ... I have no idea. He has no training for it but somehow he is just a murderhobo from day 1. He also does a ton of dumb things that are typical xanxia MC which make so much less sense in this world. His only friends are beautiful young women. I could go on but it isn't good.I really can't recommend this one.
Webnovel was ick with this one with it only being in pilot read for not even a month ago before appearing some say its not good but I'll still read it to kill time.

This novel is only worth your time during the first few chapters because of its interesting concepts. After you have reached a certain chapter you will start to get bored due to its repetitiveness. The only thing that this novel does is...Open Internet Cafe --> Local people are impressed --> Some powerhouse comes to disturb the store --> Face slap the powerhouse --> Tournaments --> rewards never mentioned again --> Create a store in a new area --> repeat.The problem with borrowing of other intellectual properties is that the story will be shallow without any uniqueness at all. You will notice that the story does not improve itself at all. At first after RE1 is out, the story just talks about RE1 story and its characters rather then improving its own story. You can see that with Diablo as well. Once you got to The Legend of Sword and Fairy and you never heard of it at all you notice that the story becomes bland.Black tech is not so much of a novel but a Lure that tries to prey on other peoples child hoods or nostalgia. The novel at its core is not a novel but a place of stolen intellectual properties that they to monetize on. This is Illegal due to the fact that the writer or publisher is making money of this because making money off fan-fiction work is Illegal unless you have the legal paper work from the makers of these works. But hey China usually steal ideas to begin with so its ok right? No. Another problem with this novel is the items the MC uses from these games. You notice that when the MC used that INF rocket launcher that one time its never used again throughout the whole story. It's the same way with the Pegassi Osiris, Terran capital Pirate ship, and Ghost Sniper Rifle with INF nukes ( somehow? )This is just another way the "novel" preys on the readers nostalgia.At its very core the novel would be nothing more than a low-tier crappy wuxia novel if they did not use other peoples works. Only thing rated more then 1 star is Translation and stability which the site seems to focus on most unless its an old novel then they just stop working on it. *Cough* *Cough* Dark king *Cough*.
I genuinely fail to understand the other reviews. It seems like most folks didn't bother to read past chapter 40. That or they instantly judged it based on the type of the novel. In reality, the novel is actually quite decent. Although it isn't a masterpiece, it's certainly not deserving of such a low rating. Quite reminiscent of Top Tier Providence, though I personally prefer this one quite a bit more. Mostly because the comedy level is higher here as far as I'm concerned. There's enough comedy, showing off, scamming people, and wholesomeness. The translation is actually fairly decent too (again, no idea what's wrong with the folks calling the TL trash, literally better than 90% of the garbage TL on here). I would recommend giving it a shot, becomes better the farther along you get.
God this story is just phenomenal. It's unbelievable that it's not more popular, considering it has perfect grammar, excellent descriptions, a unique (and really good plot), and of course PHENOMENAL characters.
Yeah no.This is really bad.Imagine having the technology to fold space and watching life feeds of a human being left behind. Not just you but billions of people are watching. Not a single one of them tries to contact the person, you don't care, sexual innuendos are more important.I really don't care if this novel gets better at a later point, the start is so bad that even webnovel should be ashamed of this garbage.
AWFUL! Premise was OK. First 10 chapters were OK. Following 30 chapters consisted almost entirely of fluff only. In short, don't believe it when it says 40 chapters; the book has 12 chapters and the last two require serious scrolling to get to.
Best trial read out of the batch. I love the small stories, where we get to learn about a person's past. I see lots of potential in this one.
The story is very cool and i see very small but perceptive development of Shido in character and emotional sense i hope the story goes on and also if the author could make the longer chapters
