I am still not over the fan group chat scene. Let me just say this out loud: the dialogue in this chapter is genuinely hilarious and I did not expect to laugh out loud while reading about a woman's divorce and family trauma. The fan group name situation alone is comedy gold. Jiang Mu naming it "Cool Fans Gathering Spot" because her fandom name is "Liangfen" (Cold Jelly), and her immediate reaction is disgust. Then she renames it to "Wolf Fang Gathering Spot" and the fans immediately start barking like dogs: "Yes! Bite them! Woof woof woof!" "Woof woof woof!" "Uh… you two up there, that's how dogs bark." And then the whole group corrects themselves to "Awooo~~~" and Liang Yan is rolling on the sofa laughing. This is such a specific, lived-in kind of humor. The fans aren't polished or curated—they're chaotic and loud and absolutely unhinged, and that's what makes them feel real. But then Lu Lincheng's fans. Oh, his fans are the absolute worst and the author doesn't let up: "To celebrate Lincheng tearing off that leech, I'm giving 10,000 yuan each to ten random fans tonight!" "That bitch Liang Yan finally signed! Gege, you must've suffered so much putting up with her." The contrast between the two fanbases is basically the entire theme of the novel in miniature. Liang Yan's fans are chaotic but loving. Lu Lincheng's fans are performative and vicious. And the dialogue captures this perfectly without the author ever having to state it outright. Jiang Mu's voice is also so distinct—dry, slightly exasperated, but deeply loyal. His line "Fans follow their idol—since you're cute, they're cute too" is such a casual, offhand observation that it somehow lands as both funny and profound.
I need to talk about Fang Shuqin because this woman is the emotional anchor of the entire section and I am NOT okay. Let me set the scene: Song Tian comes home in borrowed clothes, her arm burned, and Fang Shuqin immediately notices. 'Whose clothes are you wearing?' That line. That is a mother's instinct in its purest form. And then—the period scene. Song Tian has to explain why the cooling pool turned red, and she just says 'I got my period.' And Fang Shuqin, bless her, doesn't even flinch. She just makes sure Song Tian doesn't touch cold water and forbids her from working during that time. This is the kind of quiet, everyday love that hits harder than any dramatic confession. Fang Shuqin isn't Song Tian's biological mother (I think? The text calls her 'Mom' but the context suggests it might be an adopted or close family relationship), but she shows up in the ways that matter. And then—the bike. When Song Tian gets hired, Fang Shuqin's immediate thought is: a bike would be better than the crowded bus. She wants to personally see her off. And Song Tian panics because she doesn't want Fang Shuqin to discover the injury. That's love, too—protecting the person who protects you. But the moment that absolutely wrecked me was Fang Shuqin's fantasy about Song Tian becoming a factory director and reuniting with Lu Beizhen. 'Two people, both excelling in different fields. During the day, they might seem unrelated, but at night… they'd stick together closely.' I AM DEAD. This woman has accepted the divorce and is already planning their reconciliation like it's a weekend errand. The optimism is both adorable and heartbreaking because we know Song Tian has moved on, and Fang Shuqin doesn't yet. The emotional core of this section isn't the rescue or the job—it's the relationship between these two women. Song Tian thinking 'Even after divorcing Lu Beizhen, I will continue to visit Fang Shuqin, buying her more pretty dresses!' That's the thesis statement of the whole book, right there.
From the title itself you already know this will have a potential, the storyline, characters so peak, keep it up?

I really enjoy this book, it's giving a good vibe
my time has come, young padawans, to write an honest review of the novel as my promise to congratulate the novel getting 10 chapters. what to say about the novel, it's world building, for now is very lackluster but that is bound to change in the next chapters for a simpler worldbuilding and during the volume that it's to come, probably towards the end of it, the worldbuilding will be at least partially displayed.updating stability is not the best, but the author makes up for it making mass releases, tho I doubt it will keep being like this once the novel is contracted. in regards to character design, the character that I'd like to talk more about is not mc, but his guard. she is a well thought out character with a good built-in personality and reverence for mc and is probably the most loyal subject, and probably significant other (I ship them for now, tho I wouldn't mind if they both end up with their own so instead of eachother).regarding story development, there was some when they talked about the politics surrounding mc's previous body owners' bad decisions regarding basically everything his job as an Emperor allowed. it does feel quite slow for now as the while 10 chapters where centered around the same fight against the damn Mythical snake, but I do understand it's significance to the story so I won't complain much about it. I hope the novel does get a decent pace going instead of just 1-2 of stuff happens, then a huge time-skip, and the same thing again. a lot of things can happen in 2 days of course, but it's important for normal things to happen too, instead of just skipping to the important plot related stuff. all in all just try to focus more on secondary stuff from time to time in order to make the novel feel more light, maybe give mc a hobby and make him a carpenter or a sewer, something interesting like that could add some spice and something relatable to it too to engage readers.just give the novel a try and I'm sure author won't disappoint you.
