Review Updated: July 2nd, 2021.So yeah, only the first 20 chapters are free, but they are long in return (about 3k words on average, I'd say, double the average in most stories here), So you're getting a worth of some 40-50 chapters free. There used to be more chapters free but they were short and it seems like the author stuck them together into larger ones. I think it's good. It makes the readability smoother.It's a nice, underrated story. Not very typical for what we're used to seeing here on Webnovel, but there are lots of epic/creepy/emotional moments, and you can always learn something from its characters and their setting. This female MC is very well written (although acts a little dumb at first) but she's smart and brave overall. She starts a little weak but gets stronger as the story advances. She's interesting to follow, and some will find her relatable. So yeah, I recommend this story to everyone.(I really like how she looks on this infantile drawing. It's the author's cover :3)
this novel is good but the the things that make it annoying are 1. the chapter release rate is too slow for a novel this good, most people like me will leave this novel for months to stack chapters and read, I believe that will affect the authors monthly income from the novel.2. the unecessary switching of POVs , there are alot of times the point of view switches to a side character who is very unimportant to the story and will not be mentioned again, the author just tired to fill up word count and trust me alot times readers don't care for what the other side characters are doing, MC is in a pinch and you leave us hanging for 10 chapters to read about a side character we don't care about, it just makes us skip chapters and I'm not willing to waste money on them.3. The roller coaster Jake and his team always go through right after every single powerup Jake gets beaten and thrashed, he never gets to even show the full.extent of his new abilities , sure he still wins some how in the end but the fact that I have to be excited today about his power up and watch him get beaten like a trash bag the next day makes this novel frustrating to read. Author needs to find a balance, sure there's always bigger fish but that doesn't mean you can't let the author shine amongst peers of similar levels.something else I'd just like to add. The author adds unecessary descriptions I can't only see as trying to fill word counts it's not much of a problem but then it only makes the chapter more lackluster

I began reading thinking it was about to be an adorable family walk. How wrong was I! I really enjoyed the first chapter. I am already interested to see-what is about to happen and how she had lived her life since. Really intriguing start!
