Contrary to the synopsis, whats's within this novel is more than just a cooking story. Sekai-Ryouri is a work that has many layers, and transcends genres.
It has the competitiveness of a sports series, the twists and turns of a drama, enough gags to be humorous, tugs at the heartstrings like a romance, and can even be very heart-pumping like a suspenseful work. And though as of today and this writing, all of that may not be present, it will be in the grand scheme of things.
It is not perfect. I don't think that any work is. But if all of the above - or any of the above - interest you, I highly advise you to take a look inside of the world of Sekai-Ryouri.
Hopefully you'll come to like it as much as I do.
I always liked stories where MC live or playing in the virtual world.
Also, this one is kinda different from the other VR genre I read where MC plays to get money because of debt. But, MC in this story instead wants to play on the competitive stage, it will be amazing stories if you build-up a strong foundation for the latter. [img=update][img=update]
This novel isn't for me. The MC is stupid with no common sense with a focus on getting revenge. Like every other paragraph MC will say something about revenge. Then every other paragraph MC will talk about why MC didn't get a army or some OP ability for free with no effort when in real life any normal person would not even think about get an army or whatever OP from the start an just be grateful with what they got. I really don't know how this got many 5 star reviews. Though the writing quality is great, while there are many chapters which are long enough to my liking. Still I can't read this anymore.
Objectively speaking, it's not a good novel. There are way too many descriptive parts, especially at the beginning and some dialogues with natives are a bit naive. Still, I totally love the setting and I believe that it will become better with time! Please, keep up the good work, author!

Never play baseball before, but this is a great story for you who does love this sport. The author knew their stuff and chose the correct diction to describe the process of the baseball game. I love how the author wrote the process of the characters training instead of suddenly going genius over it out of nowhere. Although yes, the character is granted some cheat by having these amazing inborn skills, but the author still makes him lack of basic foundation in baseball since he never plays before. So, this is a very logical plot which I’m fond of.
For writing wise, I do think there’s some room for improvement but overall it’s adequate. It just needs some little editing. I do recommend breaking down your paragraph to make it easier on the eyes, because some parts, it does seem long.

I have not laughed this hard in forever. The myth-related jokes kill me. Author is a pro writer, and it shows. Chapters seem like actual time and effort went into them, no "filler bc I need to make update schedule" bs, and great grammar, no typos. Mostly though I love the story. Awesome myths so far, cool world-building, and MC is a funny mix of awesome and socially awkward.
Bonus, the girl characters don't suck! Whattt?! A gamer novel without tons of annoying sexism?! Crazy.

Heh this novel is trash, mc is reincarnation of an Emperor and yet he is so weak with coward personalities, someone threatening his family and yet he DIDN'T kill it, the author always make the villain is scheming against the MC, but the MC is so stupid to let the villain go away, the story is so forced in an instance all of the MC aquintances suddenly became strong or they are one of the expert from the three realms, the cultivation is a BS, why you say? Well its because there is no divine sense to sense your surrounding, and the deities and the pro claimed war god is BS, the plot armor of this shiet novel is MC having stronger subordinates than him just because he is REINCARNATION of an Emperor.
MC is just messing with someone stronger than him and treat them like a shiet and dont have any little bit of respect even though he dont like to kill living being randomly.
