Love the book
The zombie attack on the highway is hands down one of the most visually striking sequences I've read. Let me paint this for you: four in the morning, dawn hasn't broken yet, and the rumble of engines has attracted 'numerous zombies from the surrounding area.' Within two minutes, there's a 'barrage of frantic zombie shrieks' and hundreds of them pouring out of tour buses, smashing through windows. The description of their bodies is genuinely disturbing—'Filthy blood sprayed everywhere. Their rotting flesh burst apart on impact, scattering in all directions.' And the worst part? Even after being decapitated or losing limbs, they KEEP MOVING. This isn't your standard shambling zombie trope. These things are evolved, persistent, almost mechanical in their persistence. But what really makes this scene work is the contrast. Right in the middle of all this chaos—zombies hurling themselves at vehicles, black blood everywhere—Wen Lan is sitting in the car calling out directions: 'Brother, left chest!' 'Lower abdomen!' 'The head!' And Su Han and Wen Che are executing her calls with 'perfect coordination.' The camera of the narrative pulls back to show the ground covered in 'mangled zombie flesh and pools of black blood,' everyone's clothes filthy, everyone's shoes stained—except Wen Lan. 'Only her shoes were dirty. The rest of her remained spotless.' That image of her pristine in the middle of absolute carnage, protected completely by the two men flanking her, is almost surreal. It's like the apocalypse couldn't even touch her. Then immediately after, we cut to Zhang Ye drooling over barbecue smell and Wen Lan producing grilled chicken drumsticks like it's no big deal. The tonal whiplash is intentional and it works brilliantly.

I loved the characters and the story. It was different from some of the other stories I've read.
i find it so very readable and how the characters emma and noah as poor and billionair be in connected which is amaizing i think....i am gland of having a chance to read this book..i rate this 5 star
