'The Sunny Warmer'—she pretends to be this goofy, clueless seller who doesn't even know why gold is special. 'Aren't they saying gold is the hard currency? Should I just keep it instead of selling? Anyway, I'm not giving it away for free.' She sends a goofy smiley face and immediately people lower their guard. This girl is playing 4D chess while pretending she doesn't know the rules. The robber's dialogue is pretty flat though—standard villain threats, 'You'll regret this,' 'Do you know who I am?'—classic villain mistakes. But Wen Xi's response of 'A dead person' is so perfectly dismissive it made me laugh out loud. She doesn't even care who the robber is. She's not trying to be cool, she's just done. Also the system notifications are a character in themselves. 'Beep! Congratulations!' 'Ding!' 'Friendly reminder: You can pay gold to add functions...' This clinical, almost cheerful AI voice contrasting with the brutal apocalypse setting is such a weird tonal choice but it works. It makes the world feel like there's some absurd bureaucracy to survival. You die and the system still sends you a notification about your shopping limit refreshing. One line that absolutely killed me though: 'One day, my special someone will come to see me, bringing lots and lots of money!!' She just leveled up, got a magic cabin, fought a robber, and her first thought is romantic comedy fantasy about a rich love interest. The girl is unhinged and I love her.
