It's a novel that started with fiery scenes and then stabilized through interconnected but easily followed mysteries. I love the main characters. They have no trust issue whatsoever. At least they won't fight over a very stupid misunderstanding. Er actually, they never even fight against each other. They only make love haha. But seriously, the story is a gem, whether you skip the rated scenes or not. If I would say, it's not mainstream. It uses the system niche. But the system in here has a lovable and hateful personality, maybe the closest one I know is the system in When a Mage Revolts. MC has reasonable growth pace, imo. Also, she's not someone who just do what her system asked her to do. She weigh things out whether it's moral or not. ML is mysterious, but not overbearing, tsundere, unreasonable, prone to misunderstadingsSide characters are also not static characters. They also grow and change. And they each have defined characteristics.Villains are of course hateful. But thankfully, their ends are not cliche haha.
Exccept for translation mistake of mixing He/She, him/her everything is ok. All over a good world background and character development .
i love the story
While waiting for this book. I read The Sigma's Reluctant Mate written by Neener Beener. I highly recommend all of her books The writing by this author is in my opinion Movie &TV worthy The character development is outstanding, it's as if you know Kas, Bronx and the pack. Patiently waiting for more
I don't like the story
There's so much going on symbolically in these first seven chapters and I'm not even mad about it. The Plot Threads—golden strings pulling at people's joints, controlling their every move—are such a visceral representation of fate and determinism. They're beautiful and grotesque at the same time, which is perfect because the story is asking: if your future is already written, is freedom an illusion or just a different kind of prison? The Ring of Nibelungen is such a loaded choice of name. In Wagner's Ring Cycle, the ring represents power, curse, and destruction. Anyone who possesses it is consumed by it. Liu Lin literally gives his grandson a cursed object and then becomes his enemy. The parallel is unmistakable: power demands sacrifice, and the path to freedom from fate requires becoming something the world sees as a villain. >The world was withering, too. The World Tree withering mirrors the Liu Family withering. Both are institutions built on control—control of Abnormalities, control of the First District—and both are failing because the system itself is broken. The tree is a prison that's crumbling; the family is a dynasty built on a lie. Liu Ming rejecting the Plot Threads isn't just personal rebellion; it's a rejection of the entire cosmic order. And then there's the danmaku itself as a symbol. These 'viewers' represent the ultimate detachment—living beings who watch suffering as entertainment, who call apocalypse 'Round One.' They're the gods of this world, and they're bored. Liu Ming gaining awareness of them is him gaining awareness of his own fictionality. That's a theme worth exploring for the whole series.
