Love the new cover picture
Read Previously on MTL 94chaps and Dropped. Here is my review after reading the MTL.........
"story is kinda good, Mc is OP But I don't like the fact that every single enemy MC Fights they always Underestimate him even with All the Clues/Evidence/And Stories about MC Power they just tend to ignore it just because they Think There can't be anyone Powerful Like that, They Know About the Immortals But haven't seen their power, Yet they tend to compare mc to immortals saying even Immortals Can't do what Mc is doing so It must be fake news. everyone only believe in the concept that if I didn't saw or heard about This Kind Level of Power Previously then this Power is Fake And doesn't exist at all. Its just brainded and Dumb to read for me.. i get frustrated reading this again and again..
The story is interesting, but the writing is disjointed.
I can't figure out the character to be honest - but the biggest problem is that the chapters starting at 72 start repeating from earlier chapters.
Loli!?!?!?

In just the first 20 chapters, the premise is already showing signs of being ignored in favor of focusing on generic cultivation novel themes. Sure the MC can't cultivate normally, but body cultivation isn't a foreign concept. And it just so happens that body cultivation requires a lot of medicinal herbs. Makes sense and should work out, but then things get weird.
There's only passing reference to the MC actually using the system. And sometimes it's just ignored and hand waved afterward with a "oh yeah he did that, so that's why he can do this now".
Speaking of the MC, the author doesn't seem to know what to do with him. Is he scheming? Kinda, not really. He does some unnecessarily scheme-y things, but do they matter? It's starting to seem like no, as it veers more and more into generic cultivation garbage. Angry clans, young masters, shadowy figures that speak cryptically and probably won't appear again for 50 chapters. Sure poisoning the sect elders, and then giving the antidote that contains a different poison seem like the edgy thing to do, but what advantage does that give him?
Then he starts going into blood rampage mode for... reasons? There weren't any signs of it before, but sure, go slaughter for a month and ignore the herbs you should be raising. I'm sure the elder you asked to watch them will take care of it seeing as you poisoned him before.
All in all, people making dumb decisions for dumb reasons, or even no reason at all. Mildly entertaining when it's not ignoring its own premise, generic stupidity when it is.
A wonderful novel, especially the character of the hero and his intelligence, so far I have been amazed by his plans to increase his resources. The current problem is the amount of information that is useless, because it is more than the events of about 50 chapters, and I still do not see exciting events. This is because of the author's focus on quantity rather than quality, I hope you pay attention to this point, Reduce the amount of information and increase events and actions instead of ideas. I have high expectations for this novel and it does not change the character of the hero. Good luck
As of now it's pretty much boring to read and the quality of translation is not that bad but not good either. Not much is going on right now beside a few world background info dumps and confusing things that takes a chapter whole that's irrelevant to the story plot. The first few chapters are confusing as heck. First he regressed then after 7 days later he transmigrated to another World? What's the point of regression plot if he gonna transmigrated anyway?
Love the story so far, thanks.[img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]
the story has an interesting premise however as you read on the story line gets jumbled and things get mentioned out of no where and then never again. It feels like a story the author has lost interest in and forgetting past progression. the writing is still better than an mtl
LBL COME BACKKKKKK
ITS BEEN YEARS
YOU CANT JUST WRITE THINGS LIKE THIS AND LEAVEEEE
Just one chap a year im begging
At least drop character designs so I can draw up my own fanart to sate my cravings-
In the era of system and VR (In WN), It’s rare to stumble upon books that have something fresh to offer with a new plot. Secret Society is a novel that focuses on crime, thriller and mystery with comedy and romance as side dishes.
*Cough* I have read it while it was still in beta form but reading it in WN gives a different emotion.
So, here is a thorough review from what I have read and what you can expect.
Writing Quality: It won't be a lie if I say, I am jelly jelly of the author for having a strong and mesmerizing writing style. In every chapter of Secret society (SecSy), you can see the dedication and effort put into them. A solid 5/5.
Stability of updates: 1 chapter a day at the very least. I mean as long as the author doesn’t slack off, We can expect a nice update rate, muhahahaha.
Story Development: Ayo, do you even need to ask? Up to where I have read, and of course from what I know, the story is going to get only better.
Character Design: Both of the MCs, Xavier and Eulene(Yue Lin) are well-designed characters. For me, Yue Lin is relatable character at some point, *cough*, but of course, she is so much better. You will grow to love every character, even if they appear for a bit.
World Background: This is a steampunk novel, aka, Victorian Setting. So, the dressing, food, lifestyle, education, rules and such shows resemblance to that period. For me, it was first time trying out a novel of this genre, and I must say, I am SUPER GLAD that I decided to read it.
Cover: Welp, I have no qualms about it. I love it!
Conclusion: Thank you for reading my rant without getting bored. So, if you decided to read till here, why don't you give this a read? Who knows what awaits you. *wink wink*
