I am deeply impressed by the author's skill in handling a delicate theme in their novel. They expertly reject the idea of selflessness that borders on selfishness, while maintaining empathy for characters coping with trauma and self-destructive behavior. Although the premise revolves around a terminal illness, the protagonist's actions reveal self-harm and suicidal tendencies, particularly after a significant event involving manipulation by the love interest (ML).
What stands out is the narrative's approach, which does not place blame on the ML for the protagonist's actions but acknowledges them as a result of the ML's actions. The story emphasizes that trying to protect someone without giving them agency to share burdens and make their own decisions is actually自私. This message is reinforced through instances where other characters compare the protagonist's self-sacrifice to the ML's.
However, the ML is portrayed as an antagonist, lacking remorse, and the story ends abruptly. I hope the additional content provides closure. Ultimately, the MC and ML are shown to love each other selfishly, albeit from vastly different perspectives. The translator's work is commendable, but I must admit, I would prefer a different choice of words for a specific term mentioned in a sexual context.
I genuinely enjoyed this book; it was an entertaining read that kept me engaged throughout. Although the protagonist has some Gary Stu traits, the compelling storyline and the well-developed conflicts made it worthwhile. Each brother had their distinct story and depth, which added richness to the narrative. It would have been nice to delve deeper into the love interest's background, but I understand that's not the primary focus. The school/academy setting was a plus for me, and I appreciated the details provided, even if it wasn't the main focus.
Overall, I would give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. However, there was a heartbreaking ending that left me emotionally invested, with tears streaming down my face.

Well developed is debatable. Before they joined the harem they each had their own characteristics but afterwards they practically faded into obscurity. The author is trying to add more characterization with each of them comprehending their own laws but a lot of people complain if there is no sm*t and fight scenes. Their brains are genuinely cooked
Nah man system as a genre is set for cringe and cliché, the idea itself is not bad as it definitely has some advantages but authors milk it in every way possible with 0 originality it give them the right not to think of their plot.
There are some exception to this as some authors try to be original, but man it sadden to see 99% of novels nowdays are just copy paste of each other with different color here is steal system there is copy system, its giving leeway for others no to think and make dogshit tier novels that brainroted people read anyway, sadden me that some authors got insane potential but alas they just go on this dogshit trend and kill their own thinking and talent.
Shadow slave as an exemple does this exceptionally well it gives everybody a system equally and what each can achieve is on them and also the fact it make it easier for the reader to understand skills abilities ect...
