I'm not really into this type of thing. I didn't enjoy how quickly everyone fell for You Mian; their behavior towards him annoyed me. Initially, I thought they deserved it, but constant repetition became unbearable, especially when it came to dramatic scenes. There were numerous plot holes that bothered me, like why nobody questioned the sudden appearance of the heir for two years.
I empathized with the other Guan Tong and Shen Nanxiao, trapped in a confusing three-sided love situation. I wasn't expecting the reality TV aspect, which caught me off guard. It wasn't surprising to see Bai Lin exploit others' work, or the father's damage control at the press conference, or the lawyer's actions regarding You Mian's adoption and past. You Mian's exceptional skills and genius status were predictable.
I didn't like the rushed shift in focus from Bai Lin to You Mian, which happened abruptly. It felt like a 50-chapter story stretched out due to repetitive elements, which disappointed me. However, there were some positive aspects. Pei Huaiji and You Mian's relationship had moments of sweetness, and I appreciated their connection. It was heartwarming to see You Mian rely on Huaiji, open up to him, and let him support him through tough times, considering Huaiji as his little genius.
The Guan Tong, Shen Nanxiao, and You Mian friendship was adorable. Overall, while there were flaws, there were redeeming qualities in the story.
I appreciate that the main character isn't overly powerful (OP) and differs from typical harem novels by having several well-developed and powerful male characters alongside them. The MC is decent, but the female leads tend to have large egos, often interpreting the MC's actions as affectionate gestures directed at themselves, which is a common theme in harem stories. However, what confuses me is the game's setting. It's marketed as a female-centric dating simulation designed for solo play, yet the MC, who isn't the female protagonist, is still able to advance the plot. How does this work within the context of a single-player game? Additionally, the MC mentions a missing female protagonist from their previous gaming session. How does the game's storyline proceed without her?
