This is an interesting story, I recommend it to everyone.
Thank you for such a wonderful story. keep updating
The stakes in this chapter are SO high and the author knows exactly how to make you feel every second of tension. Let's talk about the chase scene — Lu Dantao is already exhausted, her legs are numb, she's been running for what feels like forever, and these aren't just random thugs, these are fully equipped assassins sent by a major villain. The moment she hides behind that rock and hears them talking right above her? My heart was in my throat. 'How did that Xue Yao run so fast, like a rat?' 'Has that Miss Lu been found?' They're discussing her like she's already dead. And then the rock gets SMASHED right beside her ear. I literally jumped. But the real conflict isn't just external — it's the internal war Lu Dantao goes through when she has those two unconscious assassins at her mercy. She raises the stone. She inhales. She can't do it. 'This was killing. Having grown up under the red flag, she simply could not bring herself to do it.' This is the core conflict of the entire story, isn't it? A modern person trapped in a world where survival demands brutality. She finds another way — tying them up, stripping their weapons, taking their supplies — but the fact that she even considers killing and then can't? That's the real tension. The stakes keep rising too: first it's just running, then it's hiding, then it's fighting back, and through it all she's dealing with the devastating revelation that everything she thought she knew was wrong. What does she do now? Find Xue Yao? Keep running? The author leaves us hanging and I am NOT okay with this cliffhanger energy.
