after reading the first two chapters I have to say im not sure how to take in this work. It has good structure in terms of writing, but for me the story is flat. The characters don't feel original. I feel like i read a writer's insert food wars fanfic. However I do realize that the story is in its early stages so there is a much larger room to flesh out the world and character.
Inspired byHyde ParkinLondon, the park, which is dotted with palms,acaciatrees, and tropical foliage, is considered as one of the few "green" areas in Makati.
The story has very nice kingdom building plots. Just the grammar makes it kind of unreadable. Still, I rate this novel 5 star cause i am used to machine translations and bad grammar cant do anything to me (*Evil Laughter*). Thank you very much author for this wonderful novel.

It's good.
When you first start reading it , the story looks as if it will go the same route as the cliche sign in novels. But surprisingly, it doesn't.MC doesn't get OP at the start of the novel and there is no time skip of him doing the same thing everyday for 10 or 100 years. MC has the cheat of getting reward for doing his job i.e. Appraisal of treasures at a pawnshop. But to not make this too overpowered, the author has put the restriction of baleful aura, if the MC tries to appraise a treasure that is out of his league or has a powerful ghost attached to it, he'll die. In other sign-in or job-reward novels, the MC try to act super low-key and are trash in other people's eyes and hide themselves before doing anything with their power. But here the MC shows his power just enough to be labelled as a genius and get access to appraise more treasures. Smart move if I say so.The world-building is great too, even though the MC doesn't go outside that often, his cheat allows him to see the history of the treasure that comes to the shop to be appraised and he is somehow involved in it.If one notices carefully, the origin of his power being suspicious can also be seen, hints such as him thinking of the pill even though he can't afford it and wondering why is he doing that, when he says he doesn't understand alchemy, a reward is given so that he gets the basics, this isn't plot armor as we read it carefully.He doesn't passively get beaten up or let someone take his life. Active and not overly dependant on his cheat. A really good novel so far.
Decent start. Well written for the most part, but increasingly dull and repetitive for every arc. The plot is non existant, only Han Li's cultivation journey. Also every arc there's some beauties that take and interest in him that he totally ignores because "he's focused on the cultivation path
I gave it a try... and what this novel looks like to me is a debut work. I mean look at that awful first calligraphy, the author should have opted for a painting if they're gonna take a verse from a poem and make it appear lackluster.
Great novel. looking forward to new chapters. As it is a system novel looking forward for more abilities to mc. on the plus side, author is not dragging the story for more chapters.
I just finished this batch and I am SHOOK. The pacing is absolutely masterful. Let me break down why this works so well. The first section — the confrontation at the grandmother's house — it STARTS in media res. No setup, no 'previously on.' We're dropped right into 'How could you call her such names?' and we figure out the dynamics as we go. That's confident writing. The argument escalates naturally: grandmother demands money → reveals the pawned jade pendant → suggests marrying off Yiran → Wang Fang finally snaps. Each beat raises the stakes and by the time Grandmother calls Wang Fang a 'curse,' you're absolutely fuming. Then — cut to home. Lin Jianguo cooking noodles. The family exhaling. Yiran napping. This is the author letting you BREATHE after the emotional rollercoaster. Smart. Then the Weijun farewell scene — sweet, tender, a moment of warmth before the next storm hits. 'I'm not going very far. I'll be back in half a month.' You know that's not going to be the last time you see him, right? The author is playing 4D chess with your emotions. And then — BAM — Auntie Yang bursts in with news of the wolfdog. The transition from peaceful afternoon to danger is so sudden it gives you whiplash (in the best way). Lin Yiran fastening the baton at her waist before she even leaves the house — that detail! She KNEW this was coming. The pacing from 'let me go take a stroll' to 'the wolfdog lunged' to Xiao Ziyi appearing like a deus ex machina — it's tight, it's breathless, and it ends on this perfect note of Xiao Ziyi watching her walk away with her brother while he can only stand there frustrated. The chapter structure here is doing SO much work.
