overrated trash. skips a whole lot of possible content (plot, world-building and character development of MC) while jumping straight into an uninspired high school rom-com setting where the *mysterious* MC can bully idiot rich kids
First. . . . .
Don't know why people r hating the system.. But I love the system.. Its definitely not annoying but funny to me... Love the series.. Pls continue the series @author
please come back to this book my guy! easily one of my favorites on WN
the story was pretty good up until the sale. it's like Alex suddenly became an idiot and lost his IQ and was super easy to get seduced. it's actually so frustrating. the same thing has been happening over and over with Linda, and it's kinda dumb how normally he can see his way out of traps when he can't see such a simple trap. Linda in my honest opinion has no character development and no motive. should have just made her the real villian innstead or randomly putting in political struggles with no real meaning.
MC is just a ruthless, overbearing, and prideful mc not villainous maybe antihero but he is not Evil.-At the beginning he was indeed An anti hero but around 300 chapter he gradually becomes hero like than evil(character development).mc is too forgiving to women in general. -Author maybe changed his personality b/c the mc is not willing to sacrifice anything(and by anything means anyone who he interact) with to attain power which means that he is not evil but he is still antihero till he sacrificed himself for his bird( pet). -An antihero will sacrifice anyone to not "lose" his powers( not obtain but lose) and he is becoming a simp for the elf girl.-aside from this, this novel is good in every other way. If you like an Mc that ruthless, overbearing, and prideful mc not villainous this is for you. This is my opinion if anyone is opposed to it feel free to correct me to the right path!!-till chapter 400

.................................................................. It was a good novel until you ruined it in Chapter 60...............................................
Best book I have ever read
I keep thinking about the Oriental Leaf tea and how it represents so much more than just a drink. Jiang Ran buys it once for Xia Chu and suddenly the entire school thinks he likes it. Girls start bringing him bottles, Hong Yue shows up with it hoping to win him back, and he has to publicly deny it. But the truth is—he already bought it for her. He remembered her preference without her telling him. The drink becomes this symbol of his quiet devotion that everyone misreads. Even Lin Yuqing lies and says Jiang Ran likes it himself just to protect the secret. There's also the light imagery throughout—Xia Chu seeing Jiang Ran as 'a beam of light in the darkness,' the dim streetlights, the overlapping shadows. It's like the author is building this whole visual language around visibility and hidden feelings. Jiang Ran is this publicly visible 'scumbag' legend but privately he's the one paying attention to what tea someone likes. Hong Yue represents the loud, obvious, performative version of affection while Xia Chu gets the quiet, real kind. The contrast is the point.
damnit this book is getting even more interesting
