I thought the author can’t get done with the book because in the start it looks like the author is holding back or confused of where the story going. But in the end the author gaves justice of the story and 75% it hooked me up.
the book is good but the author's communication skills with her paying readers is deplorable

Okay, let me just say this about Chen Jingfeng because I am actually furious right now—this guy is a walking red flag with a trust fund. The author did something really clever here by showing us his inner monologue after Lin Xiaoyu twists Gu Yan's wrist. We get to see exactly what he's thinking: 'With just a glance, he could instantly pick up on numerous details... her waist as slender as a willow, perfectly proportioned with her curvaceous hips, like a meticulously crafted work of art.' That's not attraction, that's a man already cataloging a human being like a product on a shelf. And the worst part? He's been with Gu Yan for a year and is already looking to replace her. Meanwhile, he's completely blind to the fact that Gu Yan is using him too—she's 'digging her nails deeply into her palms' just to suppress her rage because she needs that villa to avoid 'enduring the hardships of her past life.' Both of them are using each other, and now Chen Jingfeng wants to add Lin Xiaoyu to his collection. The power dynamics in this chapter are absolutely delicious. Lin Xiaoyu, who just handled a hospital confrontation with grace and then casually drops 0.888 yuan on a hotel suite like it's nothing, walks into a showroom and immediately becomes someone's target. I'm genuinely excited to see how she handles him.

disappointed. book started great now. its just random rubbish written to drag it out. over 400 chapters the main love characters have mastered dry humping in clothing nothing goes further. the author destroyed what could have been a great story. I've given up reading this crap now
