Interesting characters, odd twists, deep and wuirky characters, and a truly heroic protagonist. All this done in a unique way. I deeply enjoy this story as he somehow both makes the characters shockingly strong willed while still feeling human. Despite the halt in translation this remains my favorite novel. I recommend reading it.

The story so far has been great, the journey from the village to the city was an enjoyable read. This can be attributed to the Lu sibling duo, Lu Ling and Lu Li. The stories end goal is already known, as Lu Ling tells her brother about their parents disappearance, and how to find them. And the process in getting their parents back would be an arduous journey, as it consists of a three step plan: [1] Get into an influencial family, and get stronger. [2] Find another family, but this time, a family higher up in society. And then continue to get stronger. Also, so that they have access to getting to the central plains. [3] Get to central plain and find another powerful family, so that they could help get their parents back. This is the setup of the story, however, it isnt as linear as it seems, because the Lu sibling's parents, especially their father, has a powerful family background. So, it would involve more than just getting into a family and getting stronger. However, the story, to me, loses its charm as the sister, Lu Ling, is taken away from a sect, from central plains. The story up to that point was heavily enjoyable due to Lu Lings insight into why they must continue to get stronger, and that everything tha happens to them is merely a stepping stone in their path. And how strong she is, mentally. She doesnt take **** from anyone, and doesnt rely on strength, but her wits into taking put her enemies. But, i do see why they had her taken out off the story. To help develop Lu Li's bland character. Hes strong, but only in terms of physicality. He is incompetent, and relies heavily on his sister so that he doesnt do anything stupid. So, its reasonable as to why they removed (temporarily) Lu Ling. But, then they slap us in the face and have another female character take over her place. However, she isnt smart, isnt competent, and is a person who relies heavily on the MC, only because of his strength, and his now sisters social status (Lu Ling was taken away by a strong sect from the plains). And then theres the Liu family. They are easy to hate, and only hate. They are also reliant on the MC. When their family was forced to leave their city, they had taken shelter in another place, without any money. The MC conjoured up a method to gain money, allowing the Liu family to live their once lavish lives. But, they want to steal the method so that they can keep ****** money. Also, if the owner of the place theyre staying at wants to annex them, they plan to put the blame on the MC. They have done more things to make them unlikeable. This has gone on too long, so read at your own discretion.
bad. I hate romance because it's never ever done right and just feels forced but I hate harem even more. I hate when MCs are forced into a situation and simply go with it even though they don't agree but they feel they are trapped when in reality they aren't. I hate when the MC leads on female characters intentionally or not instead of drawing a clear line and ending the stupid misunderstandinds.I am not getting younger and my tolerance for stupid crap is also waning. The story is same old 'copy and paste' formula but I don't mind, just all the above killed me.I'm Out.
I love this book...I started reading it in 2018 till now this is one of some of books I love it....I hope the author brings another season/book 2...the book made laugh, cry and sad with late updates sometimes but all in all the book makes my imagination goes deep...just imaging the world Han Fei lived in,though till now there some unanswered questions....overall I recommend people to read it...people with good imagination and Patience...
story is good and I like MC and ling xi the most and relationship with women filled with love and care
written by a copycat mada faka who has no originality and copied from other works and put together this waste of time piece of garbage...don't read...my opinion...
alright now this book is ruined. I don't know why authors have to introduce love life in novels with these type of concepts. I think without love it would've been a wonderful novel. the girl is clearly forcing herself on Shawn for no reason at all. Then all that cringey blushing and all it gives me goosebumps. are these authors loners in real life and do not know women I mean they totally show that girls are like cats with curiosity they like to do whatever they want.
I really recommend this book, it is relatively near to reality and it is just so good.I am speechless, so just give it a chance and try it.
I have the read the entire raws for this book. If I understood it right, it is completed. The confusion exists because the ending was rushed. I think its mostly because of the fact that the author is a doctor and has no time to continue as they wanted due to the ongoing pandemic. I think the term open ending is applicable here. Now as for the story itself, it was actually good. Though somewhat bland at times, it did give you a lot of insight into the medical field. I never knew about some of the diseases mentioned in the book. Some cases were very bizarre. Now this is where the real spoiler starts. So don't read further if you don't want to ruin your experience. The protagonist is a man with a system that gains power with the hero's progress. The system itself is manifested as a fox statue that gains "life"with the accumulation of experience. The hero doesn't get everything handed over to him. Sure he has shortcuts but he has to put in work to get what he wants. He is accompanied by a genius doctor who could have been the hero of a normal novel. He has a poisonous mouth and plak irritates me at times. Also I feel that there is too much talk about his good looks. And most of the nurses and female doctors especially younger people were too starstruck to be completely professional. The exception being the heroine who is an 'instrument' nurse who is completely professional and insanely skilled. In fact all of the protagonist's medical team is exceptionally skilled. Although it gave a more realistic outlook on real life, it falls short on being real enough. Amazingly enough none of the hero's patients died. He has a 100% record and is always the one saving the day. The author themselves say this is not realistic but she wanted to portray a happy world where the hero doesnt have to deal with dark emotions. But they make it up by a single case of a child with cancer. I feel all the hero's emotional development came from this case. Otherwise he would have been a surgery maniac with no life. Of course he had a girlfriend who is too understanding at times about his emotional blandness and falls in love with him because of his skills. His attempts to cure the child is what makes him a likeable hero at the end. Now some of the ridiculous things in the story is the existence of cultivators ,witches and vampires. That came out of the blue for me. What I thought was porphyria turned out to be vampirism and shoddy mysticism actually became real. Both the factions place much importance on the hero because of his extraordinary medical skills and always wants to please him by the end so he could solve their issues. He even helped someone to ascend. But because of the abrupt ending, we don't see resolution for the vampirism or the cancer. Just a hopeful ending that in the future the hero will be able to solve it. In short there are many things I like and dislike about this novel. But it was a good read.
Sorry, about this but I feel like I have seen that image before, used in the cover. Dragon Raja uses it for a character called Anjou who can stop time. I think it is necessary to bring some attention to this, stealing art for monetary gain is wrong. I will remove this poor review once I have recieved a response from the Author or someone who knows if the image is under fair use. The story idea does seem cool though.
