I want to like this story, but MC is so dumb, and as of chapter 51, I feel like everyone aside from MC's family is evil. All character I 1st thought was their friend turned out to be evil/betrayal/rapist. I have grown to like some characters only to know they were actually bad and a fate worse than death await them. MC is also very stupid and acts antagonistically to everyone annoying him. There's nothing to gain from acting as such aside from creating unnecessary enemies. The fact that he kills someone but feels nothing is also minus to me. But that's just me. No insult intended to the author.
Well-written and enjoyable, this story promises an intriguing future for its characters. Recommended not let Jack have any sort of harem, and also to show more focus on the rest of the party, such as the lich. Please give Jack more male companions to balance out the party's gender ratio, and for his peace of mind.

I started reading this batch at what I told myself was a reasonable hour and ended up at 2 AM because I physically could not stop. The pacing in these chapters is absolutely masterful. Let me break down why this is so addictive. The first scene — the confrontation between Qinghe and Qin Yue — is a perfect set piece. It starts with tension (Qin Yue's animated performance, Qin Xiao's discomfort), builds through Qinghe's calm interruption, peaks with Qin Xiao's explosion against his brother, and ends with Qin Yue storming off to plot revenge. That's a complete narrative arc in a single scene, and it moves like a freight train. No wasted words, no dragging. Every line serves the conflict. Then the author does something really clever: instead of continuing the conflict, we cut to an intimate, quiet moment between Qin Xiao and Qinghe. She's wrapping her injured finger, he's apologizing, and there's this tender vulnerability. It's a breath of fresh air after the intensity of the previous scene, but it's also raising the emotional stakes. We're learning about Qinghe's past, about Qin Xiao's guilt, about the marriage question that hangs in the air like smoke. And then — Zhou Sui appears with rabbits. The tone shifts again, lighter, warmer, almost comedic. But underneath all of this is the mounting tension about Qin Xiao's family, about the wedding plans, about what Madam Qin is plotting. The author is layering these emotional notes on top of each other like a symphony, and by the time Zhou Ye asks "when are you going to marry her?" I was completely invested. Read many translations from EndlessFantasy Translation good quality translation and very stable pace. This is more than worth voting for those reasons. As for the Synopsis it's a HUGE let down but Swallowed Star's Synopsis was the same as well it killed anything that would grab your attention but it's so damn amazing. Hopefully this book will do the same and prove to be much better than it's own Synopsis.
