I need to talk about Yuan Songzhi because this man is quietly the best character in this entire story and nobody is giving him enough credit. Think about it. He helps Su Xiaoyin sever ties with the Lin family. He offers her his town house. He cooks dinner for her. He remembers she wanted fish at the restaurant and immediately takes her to the pond to catch some. And he does ALL of this without making a single grand speech about it. The moment that got me was when he saw her rolling her eyes at Mother Lin's nagging and 'hooked up the corner of his lips directly, unable to hold it back.' This is a man who usually carries himself with 'weary indifference,' but around Su Xiaoyin, he literally cannot suppress a smile. That's not nothing. And Su Xiaoyin! Her relationship with him is so refreshingly honest. When she says 'Then let's live together' and his reaction is basically 'WHAT,' I lost it. She's not playing games. She's like: you helped me, I'll help you with your leg, we'll figure out the gossip later. Meanwhile he's over here mentally spiraling because she's far too direct for his comfort. The dynamic with the Yuan family is also worth noting. Zhao Cuilan immediately takes Su Xiaoyin under her wing — 'I will never let you be bullied' — and Yuan Yuezhi, who barely knows her, still greets her properly. This is the family Su Xiaoyin never had, and the contrast with the Lin family is brutal.
Okay so let me just say this: the pacing in these first two chapters is absolutely ruthless and I am here for it. Chapter 1 opens with Yu Sheng arriving home and within the first few paragraphs we already know: father in a coma, uncles and aunts trying to force the half-sister into concubinage, the Houfu giving a three-day deadline. That's it. No slow build, no filler. The author drops you into the fire immediately and doesn't let up. What I found really clever is how the conflict escalates in layers. First, we hear the uncles and aunts arguing inside Songfeng Yuan. Yu Sheng walks in and interrupts them mid-argument. Then Fourth Master Yu starts verbally abusing Yu Xuan. Yu Sheng shuts him down. Then the uncles and aunts try to persuade her instead. She refuses. They storm out. And THEN—right when you think the chapter might breathe for a second—the servant rushes in with the news that Xu Liu has already arrived at the gate with his wedding party. Three days. They gave the family three days and it's already day three. The chapter ends with Xu Liu dismounting from his horse and walking into the courtyard, laughing, while the servants shout 'Why hasn't Miss Yu Si come out yet? If she doesn't come out soon, our young master will come in himself!' And Yu Sheng is walking toward them with a whip in her maid's hand and a household full of servants mobilized behind her. That is a cliffhanger that made me immediately open chapter 2. There's no other option. You cannot not read what happens next. I also appreciate that the author doesn't make Yu Sheng's victory easy or even guaranteed. She's a merchant's daughter facing a marquis's son. The text literally has Fourth Master Yu saying 'it's like an egg striking a rock, shattering into pieces.' The odds are stacked against her in every possible way. That makes whatever she does next infinitely more satisfying because the tension is real.
I think this book format suits well in RR or other websites because WN prefers to be shorter in word counts so I was pretty surprised how long it was, some may be a slug to go through and the description can be overexplained sometimes but overall the story is there, while nothing original and all but it had a unique flair to it.Decent start

So far i like the concept, butMemory loss is never really nice to read ESPECIALLY when the MC gets almost a full blown panic attack every time sth. even remotely happens that might concern any part of him. I'll wait for that arc to finish & I'll continue then.
Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?

Currently at chapter 103, why can't VRMMORPGs just be a game. Why always make it complicated. I only know of 2 novels that are still currently just pure VRMMORPG, and they are over at Royalroad. Why must the VRMMORPGs genre/tag always be more than just a game and make it more complicated. I'm still enjoying the game part of the novel, but I'm having a hard time reading through the extra bits about the real world. But still a good novel.
I like the world building and I love the theme. First chapter instantly got me hooked. Keep up the good work! Also, there are parts in the first chapter that are unreadable. Maybe it's because of my settings as I am in dark mode, but you should use just one color.
