Awesome book
Couldn't find a much better BL story, amazing chapters with bummer plots
Okay so let me just say this: the moment Cen Yuxing switched seats with his desk mate so he could stay next to Cen Wu instead of sitting near Lu You? That was one of the most satisfying plot beats I've read in a while. Like, the author sets up this whole tension with Lu You arriving in a pink dress looking like a princess, the class going wild over her, the director basically forcing Cen Wu to give up her seat — and then Cen Yuxing just... flips the script. He looks at Lu You with the exact same cold indifference Luke has, packs his stuff, and walks over to sit beside his sister. Cen Wu nearly burst into tears. I nearly burst into tears. The emotional payoff was insane. But then the real plot twist hits in the next chapter when we see the political layer. Lu Han is here not just for his daughter's training — he's hunting for someone who resembles his biological daughter near Base No. 18. And Cen Jiao? She's already deducted the academy director half a month's salary for being late. The power dynamics in this story are layered like an onion and I'm here for it. The author doesn't just give us a cute sibling moment and move on — she immediately pivots to the political intrigue, the fog, the Regeneration Factor business, the surveillance cameras watching Lu You throw away food. Everything connects. The plot doesn't drag, it accelerates.
I absolutely adore this novel! It had me laughing and secretly kicking under the covers with joy. In my view, it's an outstanding read. The chemistry between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) is so palpable; their interactions bring me such happiness. The MC clearly craves physical touch and the ML is more than happy to provide that affection, which is incredibly heartwarming. Oh, and let's not forget about the ML's charming charisma - it's almost overwhelming at times, making me pause in my reading just to savor it! He's utterly irresistible.
In short, I would rate this novel a full 10 out of 10. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a read – I'm eagerly awaiting more chapters! Hehehehe.

Yeah. But I still feel bad, I got addicted to the novel without knowing who the author was unlike ya all. If this novel has a good ending though, it will jump in the rankings real quick.
Man that's a shame, I really really excited cuz the picture reminded me of the game Thief and I now know I crave a novel to read like that now
His machine like ability to not be mentally affected after doing horrendous stuff is probably the only thing which makes people read this novel and personally I like it quite a bit . ( im not a psycopath guys )
Hmm... I've stopped at chapter 83 for now, planning to marathon it later, but so far, I'm really enjoying the character development. The pacing can be a bit slow at times, considering it's a slice-of-life story, but I adore the characters and their intricate relationships. It's rare to find a Danmei where both the main leads are likable and equally captivating – I can't help but feel invested in their connection.
The characters in this novel feel so genuine, not just the main couple, but also the supporting cast. They're not there just to drive the plot; they become endearing, and I find myself caring about all of them. Although the pace may be slower, it evokes nostalgia for high school days, and I'm eager to finish reading.
After completing it, I'd say this is one of the top modern Danmei novels I've come across. If you enjoy campus romances and appreciate a subtle power dynamic, with the MC affectionately addressing the ML as 'ge,' then this is a great recommendation. The MC is particularly dear to my heart – a cool, silent type who teases but fiercely defends his loved ones. The ML is charming, attractive, and surprisingly intelligent despite his occasional lack of sophistication (which I can relate to). The story may not have an intense climax, but that's part of its charm, making it a delightful and memorable read.
I wish there was a way to blacklist all vrmmos novels so they never show up in my face.
