He can't just ask for a drink, he has to sit there wiggling until she guesses, and she makes him jam-sweetened water because that's all she has. It's petty and it's tender and it's so them. The Lu Yao moments hit different too—that little girl sitting on the threshold with her eyes squinted shut from the sweetness of the jam, the way she runs around excited about her new dress. Gu Yueqian watching her and thinking 'this is what a child her age should be like' after seeing her so gaunt and timid when they first arrived? I'm not okay.
Okay, let me just say this upfront: the opening chapter is a masterclass in dramatic irony, and I cannot stop thinking about it. The entire setup hinges on one devastating misunderstanding—Gu Ruanci arrives as the Little Medical Immortal her father desperately needs, but because she's also the daughter he cast out, nobody connects the dots. Zhou Yuzhi literally slaps her away, and then his father slaps HIM for it. The layers here are insane. What really sold me is how the author structures the reveals. We, the readers, know who she is from the very first line. But the family doesn't. And every time Zhou Yuzhi opens his mouth to be more cruel, it just makes the eventual reveal that much more satisfying. When he says 'Zhou Qingran is long dead,' and she just... lets it happen? Chills. Absolute chills. The subplot with the grandmother's illness adds real stakes though. This isn't just a petty family drama—people could actually die if the wrong choice is made. And then Ye Lanxin comes in playing the perfect, forgiving stepmother while secretly plotting, and Zhou Qinzhu faking a suicide attempt? The author is stacking conflicts like a pro. Every scene ends on a note that makes you immediately want to turn the page. But here's what I'm wondering: how long will it take for the truth to come out? And when it does, what's the fallout going to look like? Because right now, the entire household is built on a foundation of lies and manipulation, and I have a feeling it's all going to collapse spectacularly.

Very nice,it's has powerful women.its sad on some situations but the drama keeps me interested..but I would say it is fast.please do continue writing..I'm connected to this book more since it's about real life events.whats ever is there makes me it easy and relatable
id say this is a novel for those who enjoy character and world development. the beginning is nothing like the rest of the story. it starts slow but it's nice cuz the character is also feeling the new world and all these new things, after all he just died and woke up as a GOD! I am looking forward to seeing Adams's powers as he works to get stronger!
