I absolutely loved this book. 10 stars! But 5 will have to do for now.
I really liked the creativity in this book. Much different than other books I’ve read. Kudos to the author for being imaginative and unique. I hope there will be more. I was disappointed with all the grammatical errors though in this book. Fix all the errors and it could be 5 stars.
Great story, but the long draw out is taking away from the excitement.
why do you post just 2 or 3 short chters. I have been reading this for months. I have paid enough to purchase a dozen books. so at least post enough chapters to make it worth while. not just a couple of paragraphs and call them chapters. if I ever finish this book I'll never purchase another one
Great story.
I think the ending is changed? I will re-read it. :)
Good good good
OMG!!! She needs to tell Xavier. He won't harm her. So Erica is Rosmond & Xavier is the Alpha King reincarnated??? Love this story!
I felt it was well written help my attention and was easy to read
Let's talk about structure because chapters 6 and 7 are a masterclass in keeping you hooked. Chapter 6 ends with Lin Huaiyu getting that phone call about his grandfather, then the revelation about poisoning, then him vowing to investigate. Chapter 7 starts with Zhiyi arriving at her aunt's, only to discover she's unwelcome, then immediately runs into Lin Huiying, who offers her a job AND housing. And the chapter ends with Elder Chief Lin walking in and Lin Huaiyu sizing up Song Zhiyi. That's THREE major plot developments in two chapters, and none of them feel rushed. The author knows exactly when to slow down (the reunion with her aunt, the meal at the Lin house) and when to accelerate (the poisoning reveal, the job offer). The pacing of the job offer scene is particularly good—Lin Huiying doesn't just hand it over, she builds the case: the salary, the accommodation, the respect. It feels earned. And that ending with Lin Huaiyu's gaze sweeping over Zhiyi? I need the next chapter immediately. The author is playing 4D chess with reader engagement here.
this was a really good story at the end of it says there's an extra chapter but it never comes up I guess it hasn't been added yet
Great book
