As per the author’s request I am leaving a review. I typicall don’t write reviews but this story had me hooked from from the beginning. Also I’ll try not to spoil things in this review.
First off, the writing quality is great. Syntax is good and there are almost no redundancies when describing things. Some stories here have the same adjectives and phrases used over and over and it becomes annoying to read. It is not the case for this story and it feels like a breath of fresh air because it is hard to find good writing quality here. 5/5
Next the story is updated pretty frequently, a chapter every couple of days. And you can join the pat reon to read many chapters ahead of you wish. That’s pretty much all I have to say for that. 4/5
The premise of the story is what got me hooked. I enjoy slice of life stories a lot and the focus on characters that follows. I’ve read ahead on pat reon and have loved the character growth and development. I’m not sure where the author is going to take the story. It could be more laid-back or other worldly elements could be introduced. Whatever the route the author decides I’m all for. 4/5
The characters are the most integral part of this story. They feel believable and fully fleshed out. Stanley feels early fears feel like a real reaction a person would have if they were put in that situation. And Ez behaves how you would expect a person from another culture and world to behave. All in all the characters and their interactions are the meat and potatoes of the story. And they’re great. 5/5
Lastly, the world building has been pretty good so far. I find the second hand information presented through a game wiki to be an elegant way to info dump about the other world that is told to the readers but never shown. I’m waiting to see how the setting changes if it ever does depending on where the author wants to take the story. 4/5
That’s it for my first review ever. I wanted to try and do the story justice so it took a bit to articulate this. Give this story a shot. I believe you’ll like it!
started off ok, dropped it at chapter 50. Any novel where the MC says they don't want to draw attention to themselves and then go in front of everyone and shows off for absolutely no reason will get an immediate drop from me. if anyone gets to ch50, you'll see what I mean.
author/editor mixes up gender pronouns and word tenses sometime, but other than that is readable
A very good eastern novel... everything is well thought and written... i love it and hope that you will not drop this story in middle.......
Here are honest reviews.. This novel is about transmigration MC, who replace/ possess trash young master from powerful clan.. With the help from the assassination system, he can buy modern weapons in the cultivation world.. This is not an OP MC because of how much MC almost dead by weak villain character are uncountable.. And MC is also a teenager who falls in love with old women and "sleeps" with her, making me feel disappointed and disgusting.. If you have a fetish for old women, this novel is for you.. Even with the help from the assassination system, MC has not become that strong.. MC is just strong in technique because, if you read, his strength, constitution, agility, intelligence, and Qi are all lower than average people.. So, what I mean by MC strong in technique is that system helping MC calculating his enemy stat, show enemy weakness, calculate the position, angle, strength need to use to aim/attack his enemy, using system to get skill like concealment, stealth, and all other type of assassination skills.. Plus, the author does not care about MC Reputation in this novel.. You would see MC Reputation is no different with trash.. Plus, with clinging old women, how can MC become assassin? He always needs to send his older women and her daughter to a safe place before starting his assassination..
Nice story. I like it very much. Please, let us know your updating stability so we know when to read it. And please can you let us know about which writing background you are using so that we can relate with the story.
Moreover we don't know much about the main character. So I think you should give us a brief history sometime about the character and his background.
Actually, I can spot the writer's improvement in writing through the chapters. First, I really appreciate you trying to improve for the sake of getting a better read. Second, you developed a very unique style that kept me hooked to the story till the end. This is fresh, captivating, and promising. The plot is really exciting. I feel this has more plot twists and surprises to come. I'm looking forward for more!
Although i like MCs fame, the leveling and overpoweredness just happens too soon and is too ridiculous and outlandish. Not even 1% grounded.
This novel is popping, I must reccomend this to everyone........................................................................................................
Let's be honest, the read is "nice" (yes, quotes, because the story needs to be read with all filters turned off, just read for reading and you'll love it, I think), for those who want something superficial to laugh about is ok, it's not a perfect work and free from trope errors, character and world development, which in this case I would give between 2.5/3.5, not this 4,8 in novel rating.
1 - Writing Quality (3.0): The novel itself urgently needs an editor, broken sentences during paragraph, constant repetition of words like "Lie Down!!" in all third-party observations, spot correction, use of “”, ? or ! and all in the same sentence (it’s hard, really).
2 - Stability of Updates (4, ??): I have little priority to evaluate this item, I started reading with more than 300+ chapters released and the author kept posting constant chapters.
3 - Story Development (2.0): The plot development is minimal in big words, there is no focal goal, there is no chase, there is no revenge, nothing, just the good old “I want to be stronger than everyone for my protect and protect those I care about”, well?? Generic at least and well generic in novels of this type, what wins readers are the variations of paths that the MCs take, here?? Just a straight line from one sect to another, “scaling” the levels of local potency and cultivation, as they say: “There is always a Heaven above the sky” and this novel takes it literally.
4 - Character Design (2.5): I give 0.5 of my initial 2.0 for the development of the MC in the first chapters, where he finds himself in constant fear of dying (Although he is immortal, which justifies my IQ point at the end of this item), other than that, the development of both the main and the minors is zero, there is no evolution, no overcoming, no pressure, just an arrogant MC who despises everything and everyone because of his OP-God Level plot armor and everyone around the MC has less than 50 IQ, it's simple, looks like elementary school kids arguing (this includes the MC) and it always ends up with someone wanting to kill the MC, crying because the MC wants to kill them, and right away , everyone around saying that the MC is arrogant (bla bla bla, I just skip this external observation part), someone defending the enemy because only others can kill whoever they want and finally, the famous "you killed me , my family / my elder / my guild will take revenge" on someone coming to seek revenge and dying for to the MC since he is immortal and can be blown up endless times, how useful not????
Finally, we have the famous trope, “If you are an MC's ally, you automatically lose all your rationality and critical sense”, yes, everyone who at some point becomes the MC's “allies” loses any sense of opinion, only him choose, define and be right about everything, the rest is just there to follow him as he thinks how amazing our MC is (joke).
5 - World Background (3.0): Although we have descriptions of the places the MC travels to, we don't have an illustrated world around them, I feel that the MC lives in a big box where each location transition is a crossing of a door , there is no path, there is no adventure from X to Y, just a leap of time described in a few words about it leaving one place and going to another, we don't have a definition of the continent's environment, of the world where the continent is , we don't know how big everything is, even the sizing of the places where it is to me looks like a neighborhood or less, sometimes it looks like a backyard, nothing is explained and expanded, just quoted briefly followed by lines and lines of MC killing X enemies or arrogant dialogues between him and everyone around him (his enemies, as always, everything and everyone wants to kill the MC because he didn't see the mount tai)
6 – Final Observation (3,0 final rating) - Overall the novel is good for those who want to laugh, but without evaluating anything in particular, just read for the pleasure of seeing slaps in the face, arrogant characters dying and a MC dominated to the point that nothing is an obstacle, just his minimum IQ for being the biggest enemy in history, with misuses of so many advantages that my brain hurts with the stupidity of our magnificent MC (joke again).
what an interesting take on levelling up. It's like a game that is a novel at the same time. If that is not intriguing, I don't know what is. I love the story! A perfect 5 stars!
