One of the best classic WuXia novel by the famous Louis Cha. Main character is a happy easy personality that anyone can be friends with. A journey that would change his life.
Okay I liked this book a lot but now it's really really expensive to read. 2 passes for every chapter? I liked this book so i started reading it and now it's so expensive I would rather not read it. I have to wait 2 days to read one chapter. Come on man.

Good story. I like how it is progressing nicely so far. It is adequately described and detailed in ways that make sense! Minor grammatical errors that I know the author can and will probably fix later down the road. Even so, never hold that against anyone. Give it a try, and you will love it! Good story. For all of these five star reviews on this book, i guess i will have to be the equalizer; i read up to chapter 46 today, and let me tell you; my day was wasted on trash, don't read this book, don't waste your time, there are so many better books on qidian, i don't even understand how this is trending, but i will list a few issues so you can have a general idea of what you're getting into with this.1. Science and magic is portrayed as complete opposites able to completely replace the other, this boils down to the world he lives in not even having math or physics, just magic.2. There was mention of a cultivation technique with the old mans necklace ring, which would allow him to save the world, he promptly forgets about it and doesent remember within the next 40 chapters, idk if he ever remembers. Keep in mind that those 40 chapters span a time period of about 2 years. Yup.3. The author mentions the characters ages etc. But forgets to mention their mental age, which is important because all of them seem about 5-10 years younger mentally than they should be; especially the 16 year olds.4. The mc tries to lay low by being dismally bad at studying and almost getting expelled if he wasnt actually a crouching tiger hidden dragon, which he is, but hes dismal at that too; as under the examination he is measured to be better than everyone else... how to be low key: 1. Become the trash on the bottom of society, 2. Become the divine leader of the leaderboard within seconds, 3. Do it all in the presence of the whole school to be sure they notice and gossip about it, 4. Piss of the strongest existence in the whole city, because u have beef with him but u still wanna lay low... wait?The magic system is pretty pathetic aswell, though i didn't really see its potential during the 40 chapters, add onto a bunch of inconsistencies, some sexist remarks and an 'in general' scaredycat useless horndog mc what do we got?(btw the whole draw was the idea of a badass mage owning people within his own ranks, but i lost faith pretty quickly as he is basically op by virtue of deus ex machina ,or even worse; op by old man he paid respect to being hidden expert with tons of priceless treasures to help him along. There is no reason to root for him, atleast not as far as i saw, and he definitively isn't even slightly badass.)Apparently a trending story on qidian... what a joke.Lets see qidian delete this review, i'm curious if they actually do.Oh btw i rate it 1 out of 5 stars because i don't think the release rate matters when it comes to quality, in fact it might be in detriment to it. As for the writing quality, i don't only consider grammar, but overall enjoyment of the plot and characters and motivations. Cause the stuff connecting that stuff isnt air, u have to use writing to connect ****, unless you are making an encyclopedia, where its enough to put the information in alphabetical order.
listen it certainly wasn't a masterpiece before but after recent events where Gabriel 'awakens' I feel like it just murdered the mc and all the development up until that point was just erased. like the author woke up and decided to hit a fast forward button, it's disappointing because it was entertaining to see Gabriel's journey but now it's just a different character entirely and the dual elements thing is just a nothing burger
The story is about the personal and gaming life of the esports players or the pro gamers.The portrayal of the story (in my opinion) is very realistic, especially how characters are being treated by the fans, either being respected or hated . It has its own charm that makes me want to read it more. The MC is not that SUPER OP MC like in other novel, at first his average sometimes admirable, but in the later chapters.... I can only say one word....Not OP.... but SHAMELESS...yes SHAMELESS...HE IS THE SHAMELESS BATTLE GOD.
I read up to 78 and quit at 78. Even though the author said that he doesn't like girls who blush at everything, I read until 78 and there are girls who blush at everything and your understanding of romance is really bad (a girl with little acquaintance sees the main character while fighting and is affected. Then she kisses the main character without saying anything and has a happy ending) to say I would like the author, this is not rheumatism, this is a scene set to impress adolescents, I left it in 78. If there is such a scene, it exists in the future. Author, I hope you don't delete the comment. (I'm sorry if there are wrong words, my native language is not English)

Okay so let me just say this about Qi Wuyang because I am OBSESSED with this character and I need to talk about it. The man is a walking contradiction and I love him for it. Here's this guy who just found out his favorability score went up to twenty after she basically insulted him, and his immediate reaction is to be weirdly soft about it while pretending he's not. And then the rabbit scene—oh my god. He pretends the rabbit is gone, makes her run around in a panic, finds it himself, and then DROPS IT on purpose just to watch her scramble. Classic tsundere energy but make it dangerous immortal being. But the moment that absolutely destroyed me was the sweet potato. She offers him half, he ignores her completely, she goes inside, and then—cut to him opening his eyes to find the roasted sweet potato wrapped in a leaf, still warm. STILL WARM. He could have just thrown it away. He could have said something mean. Instead he just... kept it. The fact that he noticed it wasn't touched by a single speck of dust tells me everything I need to know about this man. He pays attention to her. He always has been paying attention. And then later when he's testing her loyalty about the Shopkeeper—"just today, you called him a good man"—he's literally fishing for her to pick a side, and she does it so sincerely with three fingers raised in a vow. The way she says "I only trust you" while her mind is racing? That's not manipulation. That's genuine. And he knows it, which is why he smiles after. The smile that doesn't reach his eyes but still dispels the tension? That's someone who's used to being doubted and is weirdly overwhelmed by being trusted. "What a sharp-tongued softie"—Xu Songhe literally named him and I am HERE for it.
