Most inconsistent spelling I have ever seen. Zhao changes to Xhao within one paragraph. Xiao into Siao. Li into Lee. Goddammit, decide on the naming! It's really important in Chinese novels, because two names with the same romanised spelling can sound totally different, so if you can't even get one name correct how can you get more than one?
I really love the character development as well as the storyline. Just keeps me going for more. Along with watching the series the novel gives me a better understanding of their perspective, feelings and understanding about each other.
The introduction of the story setting and the Characters was nicely done with just the few first chapters that I have read. I was able to immerse myself into what is happening in the story. The writing style of the author is also nice. Other books tend to use so much unfamiliar and deep words to make the story more mesmerizing but this book didn't do that. It was at the right amount and it makes the story easy to follow and understand what is happening in the story but at the same time, still mesmerizing. Overall the writing quality of this book and the author is of a very high standard. I will make a review again about the Story Development after I read more chapters of this book.

Super funny, great world building, tons of detail and really distinctive and unique characters. Our MC is hilarious but his actions are very relatable and is a breath of fresh air compared to typical arrogant young master MCs or hiding his true power type or ruthless killer types.
MC as the novel title says, is obsessed with trying to preserve his life in the dangerous cultivation world, and realistically his concerns are very relatable. However fate would force him to various dangerous life threatening situations that sets him off on his path of cultivation and power.
Highly recommended. Its completely unlike the other cultivation novels out there. Great world building, hilarious and gripping story.

I love the story one of my favourites on this app but i am must say this first this story is not for everyone and the grammar is very bad at MTL level read if you enjoy and don't mind the grammar
TLDR: Rocky start but finds it’s footing soon enough, therefore worth a read.
The beginning is rocky. The MC has a slow start that involves the traditional cliché of being derided from others for being a crippled but being allowed where he is due to his status as a consort. the plot starts to moving a bit faster after chapter 20, so stick around as it does get better.
There are some plot developments that make little sense that are left opened for later explanations.
MC is out for revenge, not a saint by any means, and seems to go the distance to get what he wants: power. Of course, he has not gone off the deep end… yet, as I am sure it will happen as some point.
Characters include the traditional bunch of antagonists, a mixture of characters that have more depth that has yet to be seen, and gray characters.
I’m currently at chapter 79 and a big moment just happened so I feel comfortable making a review now. I’m sticking with it for a while, as this author has delivered before. Updates are daily and grammar is of course better than majority on webnovel.
