The chapters are split up. Chapter 40(1) on webnovel is actually chapter 19 MTL/RAW. The site smuggled in a new business opportunity - splitting the chapters. In this case, they gave us less than 19 full chapters. Used to be 60.. 40.. What a magic! Of deception.The first chapters.. are unpolished by the author in my opinion. But if it improves later on then it's fine. There's some bland, stiff dialogue, unnatural behaviour, forced plot. The high rating's reason? Author's name does the job, for example. Besides, there's potential, just that the execution so far is average.The MC got [Agility] talent, then after using it he calls himself talented while being serious. Ha ha ha.. :DIt's one of these novels where the one that takes MC role is decided by system (or well, apparently it's his Super ability). The author doesn't bother to write about the process of e.g. overcoming a language barrier. Just use system and... done, problem solved. For convenience...Grown men shown so far have somewhat flawed, unsuitable mentality for the roles they play (apparently they are experienced hunters but I wonder how they grew up and how they survived till now in such a dangerous world). The MC himself is alright, a bit dumb, a sheltered flower, no survival skills, so whatever logic or reasoning he comes up with is fine:) Hopefully he'll grow up as his adventures continue, or else be prepared for masterminds to have less IQ than he does.The author chose to write a novel with system and copied a popular idea. What was his motivation for this, one could wonder. In the same batch of trials, the author of "Protect our Patriarch(Chief)" actually roasted this kind of system novels.My comment is based only on the 19 (split into 40) chapters translated right now, because I have not touched MTL. If I read more chapters in future I'll either re-write my comment or add a fresh one with proper rating. 19 is not much after all and the subsequent might have a higher quality, I don't know. There are novels like World's Best Martial Artist, Museum of Deadly Beasts, A Sorcerer's Journey, Black Iron's Glory and many more that had even more boring, or cliche, or flawed initial chapters yet turned out to be much much better as I continued to read. It might also be the case with Astral Apostle.
Crap novel. Firstly it is hard to read it. I have to pretty much fix every sentence in my mind for the story to make sense. Secondly, there are lots of stupid things happening in the story, for example mc sees some girl and falls in love with her straight away even though she is just nobody. Also, she is raped so mc marries some nobody abused rape victim?? Yeah very fun for us readers. I don't read stories for such sh*t!

Didnt they use this cover art in The Empress's Gigolo? Everyone was like Wtf that cant be Ren Baqian he's supposed to be average looking LOL. It was a funny sh*tstorm until it got changed to it's current cover art of The Empress in black armor instead of her classic red.
Anyway was the cover art originally this novels and they used it wrong or is it like a generic handsome guy art they use as a temporary?
Idk how to convince you guys... But this story is really a worthy one! It's written like an exclusive one.. Really!! Some people might found the story development kinda slow BUT considerable actually.. Unless you're not that have much patience

So much lost potential in favor of games. The start was amazing with its promised focus of biology and history. but 40 chapters in the story in the real world has become more important that the story in the sandbox.I mourn for the lost potential.

I'm writing this review, not to actually review the novel but to review the people reading the novels, more accurately, I'll just go on a rant about people that waste resources of the Earth by being so stupid that they don't understand things so simple like 'why MC acted like that', so now, why did he 'scold' the maid? Simple, it's in the sentence, she's a maid, he's a Young master, there's nothing else to say, but I know people are too stupid to understand that or else they wouldn't be shocked at this scene, so I'll write a bit more, you see, the thing is, I don't put it in the way that MC got the young master's memory, I'd rather think, the Young master got memories from Earth, and created a whole new person owning the memories of both of them, the MC, this person has memories of Earth and this world, if he has memories from both of them, he has a hint of both of their personality, now think about it, the maid is a maid, the MC is a young master, the maid is being disrespectful and ask for something precious while the MC has the memory of a young master with bad temper... OBVIOUSLY HE SCOLDS HER, now, please, understand this simple thing.
Read it for 10 hours straight, right after passing 100 chapter the story character everything just started deteriorating. The mc started acting like a harem protagonist while girls taking advantage of his powers. Story just stopped progressing, just slowed down significantly. (If you are looking for a non harem and stoic mc with little to no romance your mind will repeat the slogan below)All and all MY Day is ruined and disappointment is immeasurable.
I've dropped this novel at the point when they are building the boat. I won't talk about the good parts of the story as they have been mentioned in many reviews, but only what i didn't like about it. First thing i didn't t like is the MC. His actions and they way he plays don't feel to me like an old mans at his 60s-70s, bases on how seriously he acts and plays the game. Secondly, the pacing of the story is bad. On the one hand, the story doesnt stay stagnant and things do happen, wether its crafting, fighting or interacting with people in the game(npcs or players). On the other hand, its ~200 chapters and the GAME is not even open for the public, and from some other review its not at ~400 chapters either. Lastly, i don't like the game you created. For me multiplayer games comes hand to hand with competition, whether thats pvp or getting a first clear on a dungeon. And your game destroys any chance of competition the further it goes. You have players with literally months of advantage before the game opens, 5 of them that are destined to be the best of the 5 elements of the game from the very start and then you get all 5 of them together to form a guild. How is anyone gonna compete with that? Moreover, the "slots" for the main questline are filled before even the game goes live.The first plotline has to do about the war of two sides if dragons through their champions and 2 of the "good" ones have already been picked by chapter 200. What made me drop the novel was that lack of fairness and chance for the general player to compete for any kind of lead in the game.
