Also known as Concubine Zhao, she is Su Hong's cousin—the daughter of his aunt from a concubine line. She was taken as his concubine at the grandmother's insistence. She appears gentle and frail but is highly capable. She personally prepared red date and white fungus soup for Su Shu's mother. Her presence caused Su Shu's mother to lose her place in the Su household and led to deep estrangement between Su Hong and his wife.
