Also known as Teacher Zhao or Old Commander Zhao, a former regiment commander and Zhao Gengxin's father. He led over a hundred men in battle during the war, was an old comrade-in-arms with Zhu Dayong, and was deeply moved by the taste of braised pork with preserved mustard greens which reminded him of his fallen comrade.
