He hastily frames Lu Roujia as the prime suspect using the silk handkerchief as evidence, despite not having confirmed the primary crime scene. In the original story, he was bribed by the true culprit and subjected Lu Roujia to severe punishment, forging a confession. He is intimidated by Envoy Xie from the Longyi Guards.
