Also known as Yuan Cainü, a low-ranking consort whose name contains the character Zhao. She originally should have resided in the left side hall of Zhaoyang Palace but could only occupy the right side hall as a Cainü. She had not yet attended the Emperor but was determined to live in Zhaoyang Palace. Her mother had taught her many techniques for pleasing men. She was diverted from meeting the Empress by Jiang Cairen.
