Liu Shuxin's grandmother, also referred to as Grandma Liu. She is the wife of Liu Dalin and mother of two sons and three daughters. She favors her daughter-in-law Yang Yue (her niece) over the other daughter-in-law Lin Hong, though both are treated relatively equally. She is traditionally minded but not harsh or abusive toward Liu Shuxin.
