The father of the original host, Song Kexing. He was the son of a former chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce during the Republic era. He was domineering, cold, and heartless. He worked as the general manager of the Beijing Department Store. When revolutionaries stormed the house, he dragged his wife and son to the basement and ordered the original host to stay behind and face the mob alone, telling her to lie about their whereabouts. His betrayal directly led to the original host's brutal beating and death.
